So just Nigerians and the world know, the 11 Nigerian military personnel, together with our C-130 transport aircraft that's valued at nothing less than 30 billion Naira, are still in detention in Burkina Faso. Regardless of the initial lie from the Nigerian government that they've been released, they still remain in detention in Burkina Faso since December 8th that they did emergency landing in Burkina Faso.
Why is this diplomatic row lingering to this extent, considering that Burkina Faso is not a match to Nigeria in any way??? Why is Burkina Faso playing hard to get? The answer is simple and short: Authorities in Burkina Faso knew that there's a rudderless and incompetent leadership in Nigeria.
