Mandi Lynn published her first novel when she was seventeen. The author of Essence, I am Mercy and She’s Not Here, Mandi spends her days continuing to write and creating YouTube videos to help other writers achieve their dreams of seeing their books published. Mandi is the owner of Stone Ridge Books, a company that works to help authors bring their books to life through cover design and book formatting. She is also the creator of The Book Launch Planner, a planner designed to help authors publish and market their books. When she’s not creating, you can find Mandi exploring her backyard or getting lost in the woods.

Earlier in the week, I was showing off the deluxe editions of Revenge in Rome, but what about the special edition paperbacks?
These paperbacks were my best sellers with my last Kickstarter campaign because they’re a great option when you want a special edition at an affordable price!

✨ What is Kickstarter? ✨
Think of Kickstarter as a fun way of doing book pre-orders! Indie authors are often limited in the type of books they can print. If we want to do special editions, we have to invest a lot of money to do so, so Kickstarter allows us to crowdfund to create amazing editions of books!
✨ How it works ✨
1. An author creates a pre-launch page
2. Readers follow if they're interested
3. When the project launches, readers are notified the book is available to purchase
4. Readers pay when the campaign ends and is successfully funded. Readers are not charged if the funding goal isn't reached.
5. The author uses funds to print the special editions.
6. Readers get their books!

I’ve been marketing my upcoming novel incorrectly for months. I’ve been calling my book, Revenge in Rome, a billionaire romance when it is in fact, a millionaire romance. Is one letter really that important? When it comes to reader expectations, it can be!
