The author of Essence, I am Mercy and She’s Not Here, Mandi spends her days continuing to write and creating YouTube videos to help other writers achieve their dreams of seeing their books published. Mandi is the owner of Stone Ridge Books, a company that works to help authors bring their books to life through cover design and book formatting. She is also the creator of The Book Launch Planner, a planner designed to help authors publish and market their books. When she’s not creating, you can find Mandi exploring her backyard or getting lost in the woods.

My books haven’t been selling, so I’ve been working to redo my social media book marketing strategy. The first step was to start posting on social media every day. The second step was to redo my book’s blurbs, back matter, and sales pages. Now we’re moving on to step three, which is to write new hooks for social media. But I took it a step further than that, and I’m also putting these hooks into a database for myself to make posting to social media easier. My pen name books haven’t been selling, so I’ve been doing a social media experiment to get more book sales. In the last episode of this video series, I posted every day for 30 days, and well…things didn’t go as well as I wanted them to. So today I’m going back to the basics to take another look at my books to make sure they’re ready to make the sale. I’m going to be updating book blurbs, back covers, end matter, and even the sales pages of the books themselves to make sure they convert curious readers to buyers.

Welcome to a new YouTube series where I let subscribers design my book covers. Every month, I’ll be sending out a survey letting you pick different elements of a book cover. You pick the genre, concept, colors, fonts, and even the title of the book. Then using those survey results, I sit down to challenge myself to design a book cover from scratch. This month, you guys wanted me to design a fantasy book cover, and when it came to the overall concept, you guys didn’t give me the easy way out. In almost every survey question, the option you chose was my least favorite. But that was the point of this series: to challenge me as a designer. So let’s see how this month’s cover design came out.

In case you missed it, I revealed the title of my current work in progress, Revenge in Rome. This book is a closed-door billionaire fake-dating romance set in Italy. I just started editing the book after getting feedback from beta readers, and perhaps even more exciting, the cover is DONE!
