Last time I went on maternity leave, I managed to make $15,000 during three months of little to no work. It was all work I did upfront before I went on leave, allowing me to financially support my family and take the time I needed to adjust to life as a new mom. Now I’m pregnant again and prepping for maternity leave all over again. Today I’m sitting down to plan out my income and discuss what I’m doing to make the most money while on leave, while only doing a small amount of work while I adjust to life as a mom of two. Even if you aren’t planning your own maternity leave, this video will be an important look into planning your income as an author and the potential you have to make doing what you love, your full-time job.

If you’re seeing this video, then it means I finally finished writing the first draft of my book! Why is this a big deal? Because I’ve been working on this book since November and was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to finish the first draft before I go into labor. Writing this book while in the third trimester of my pregnancy has been no joke, but I’m so happy to be done and be able to cross this off my list!
