Happy Easter, everyone! I just thought I’d drop a review of the Super Mario Galaxy movie!

MINOR SPOILERS BELOW

First things first—Nintendo, WHY did you spoil so many characters in this film?! As a big fan, it was nearly impossible for me not to see all of these spoilers, characters, and trailer clips! But that aside—I absolutely loved this.

The characters were fun and vibrant, the story was simple but purposeful, and the Easter eggs and references were out of this world! This movie didn’t feel like it was made by some bigwig Hollywood studio, but rather for fans, by fans!

The Easter eggs and cameos were the craziest part for me. Super Paper Mario’s Dark Prognosticus on Rosalina’s bookshelf?! An E. Gadd coffee cup from the Starbeans Café from Superstar Saga?! I was blown away by the amount of detail put into every frame.

And don’t get me started on Fox McCloud and the Star Fox crew. It really felt like fan fiction in the very best way, and I couldn’t have been more entertained.

Would I have changed some things? Sure. But the final product was nothing less than an entertaining joyride. I really wish the prison post-credit scene had panned over to show other villains… cough cough Wario and Waluigi setting up the third movie.

The latest adventure in the Nintendo High series is out now! Huge thanks to everyone who’s already watched Episode 3—I really appreciate the support. This one was a fun change of pace, and I loved giving the Legend of Zelda franchise the spotlight it deserves. If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check it out!
