Varte (In persian: ورطه) is a progressive Oriental Metal band from Iran, they start their musical career in 2014 with their single "Ehtezar (At the Point of Death) " and it draws a lot of attention from local people and music critics. In 2015 they produced 4 more singles: "Sad Sal (One Hundred Years)". "Kavir ( the Desert)", Divaraye Khoone (Walls of House), and "Antalcidas" .

In 2017 Varte released their first album "Ravayat-e Mastoor (Inscribed Tale)" which consists of 10 tracks in progressive rock genre and it tells stories and tales from Iranian history and legends.

Our second album “The Light of the Time” is out now.
We are presenting some breathtaking stories about the heroes of our history and their rage against the tyranny.
