If I could go back and give my younger self one piece of career advice, it would be this:

Don’t treat your employment contract as a formality.
Take your time, read every clause, ask questions.

And if there’s something you don’t understand, don’t be afraid to seek clarification before you sign.

The goal isn’t to avoid trade-offs. The goal is to choose the ones that move you closer to the career, and the life you want to build.

When you continuously build your skills, relationships, reputation, financial preparedness, and career readiness, you give yourself something incredibly valuable: options.
And options change the way you make decisions. You stop saying yes out of fear and start saying yes because the opportunity aligns with your goals.

That’s the kind of career I’m trying to build.
