Hey, I’m Beth, photographer, storyteller, and traveller.
What started as a short trip turned into a life of full-time travel, slow living and chasing freedom around the world. Since leaving home in 2014, I’ve lived out of backpacks, worked countless jobs abroad, and documented the highs, lows and beautiful chaos of life on the road.
Over the years I’ve worked on farms, boats, in bars, as a cleaner, singer, online English teacher and creator, doing whatever it took to keep travelling. This channel is for anyone who feels stuck, dreams of travelling full-time, wants to build a life outside the ordinary, or simply loves seeing the world through honest, human stories.

You know what nobody really talks about when it comes to van life?
All the boring, everyday stuff that actually makes up MOST of living in a van.
Like the things you don’t even think to ask about until you start wondering how on earth they actually work when you live in a tiny metal (or in my case: wooden) box on wheels 🤣
So I’ve made a Q&A answering all those little questions about the reality of day-to-day van life. Not the pretty sunsets and waking up in beautiful places, but the normal, mundane, slightly unglamorous stuff.
Because as much as I love this life, there’s a LOT more to it than what you see on camera.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to pop on here and say that there won’t be a video from me this week as I’m in Greece for a couple of weeks! I do have a video next week that I pre-recorded before the trip 😊 My trip to Greece won’t be for YouTube content, I’m having a little time away from the internet and the rainy weather. And I love a Greek island!

I’ve lived in 5 vehicles (3 vans and 2 cars), and I’ve lived alternatively for over a decade. I'll be honest… for the first few years I had no idea what I was doing 😅 I've had freezing nights where I couldn't feel my toes. I've battled damp and flies, run out of water at the worst possible moments, spent hours trying to find the perfect park up, and made pretty much every mistake you can make living on the road.
But slowly, one small lesson at a time, life in my little home on wheels got easier, cosier and so much happier.
So I've finally put everything I learned the hard way into one video. All the van life hacks nobody talks about, but you really need to know.
Whether you're already on the road or still dreaming about it, I really hope this is helpful 🚐💛

Recently I found two letters I wrote to my future self, one from 2014 and one from 2017. Let's read them together!
Today's video is kind of a day in the life vlog while at the same time reading those letters, writing back to my younger self and thinking about the last 10 years of travelling, van life, living differently, getting lost, finding my way, and becoming someone I never could have imagined back then.
It was a strange experience… reading words written by a version of me who had absolutely no idea what was coming.

Hello everyone!! Just a little note about my music, I'm pretty ready to start recording a little album very soon! I spent today practicing recording and getting my head around it all and this is my first try. It's only a little cover of one of my favourite songs... and to be honest I didn't even use a microphone, just the one built into my laptop! But I DO I have a microphone coming, and I've managed to buy it with all the coffee donations from you guys, so I'm really grateful for that, thank you!
When I record a little album I'm hoping it will be all original songs, but for now here's this!
(I wanted to upload it straight to YouTube but theres no button to post just an audio, so I've done it on the coffee website but please don't feel like you have to donate, this is free to listen to! just using it as a way of uploading)

I’ve finally sat down and added up what it actually costs me to live in a van, month by month, and over a whole year.
I get asked about this all the time, and I wanted to make a video that’s honest and realistic rather than throwing out a vague babble of information.
So if you’ve ever wondered what the reality of van life costs: fuel, food, insurance, maintenance, MOTs, campsites and all the little expenses that add up, I’ve put everything into one short, (VERY) no-nonsense video.
