We hope you’re all staying warm and cozy as winter sets in! We've got a flurry of exciting updates to share, so grab a hot drink and settle in.

First up, we're thrilled to announce the Winter Wonderjam, our annual festive game jam where the Dreams community comes together to create winter-themed masterpieces. Whether you're a seasoned creator or just starting out, we'd love for you to join in. It's all about having fun and celebrating the season in the most creative way possible. So, dust off your imps and start dreaming up your entries—we can't wait to see what you come up with!

On top of that, we’re knee-deep in the development of Jacky Frost 2, our own contribution to the Winter Wonderjam. If you enjoyed the first one, you're going to love the frosty fun we've got planned for the sequel. To make things even more exciting, we’re live-streaming development for the first time ever. That’s right—you can pop into our streams to see how the sausage is made, give us feedback, and maybe even pick up some tips for your own creations. Keep an eye on our channel for streams over the next few weeks.

In between all this winter madness, we’ve also been uploading a bunch of new videos showcasing the incredible work of the Dreams community. There are still so many hidden gems out there, and we’re doing our best to shine a spotlight on them. If you haven’t caught up yet, now’s the perfect time to dive into some amazing creations. Your next favorite game might just be waiting for you!

If we had a nickel for every time something went wrong making a game in Dreams PS4…we'd sure have a ton of nickels… 

Our Crash Bandicoot inspired Platformer, Jacky Frost, was no exception. Originally conceived in September 2021 it took us a full year to finally set aside some time to work on it. The moment we committed to a release date for Christmas…we were both struck down with a terrible flu! 

Lesser champions would have crumbled. But not us. With only about 10 days to go we reached down deep and said to ourselves: lets crap out this piece of crap. 

Honestly despite a very hectic development which saw me staying up until four in the morning, growing a frankly awful beard which I’ve kept to this day - and possibly I may have stopped showering at some point…we are quite proud of the game that somehow tumbled out. 

Luckily for all of you, we recorded the truly spectacular fails and hilarious mishaps that came about in this hellish Christmas Week and now we’re sharing them with you at our expense, for educational purposes…or maybe just for a good hearty laugh.

No new video this week as me and Sam are away on our much delayed honeymoon!

Remember we’re hosting a creation competition in Dreams for you to make a scary short horror experience and we’ve provided the map from our Horror Game “Out of Gas”’ to get you started.

There is a cash prize for our favourite and there’s still plenty of time to enter - your creation only has to be a minute long if you want.

We’re getting creators to post their spooky Dreams in the first week of October so there should be plenty of scares just in time for Halloween.

We’ll be doing our first YouTube Live to play through every single entry and the winner will be announced in a video before the end of October.

Thanks to the Dreams PS4/PS5 community we made it to 2000 Subscribers!

This HUGE milestone has come with a big announcement - we are now on Patreon for those of you who wish to support our channel with donations!

We thought long and hard about whether or not to ask for donations. For transparency as to where these donations are going:

Near the end of 2021 we made a very significant personal investment in the channel buying a PC built for editing and upgrading our graphic and video editing software. Any donations we receive go directly towards paying for this.

In return supporters can receive various shoutouts, video promotion of their own Dreams creations in our news videos, and the chance to work with us creatively to be included in Project Fool’s BIG GAME project Ghost Station in the form of voice acting, an Easter egg, or something similar.

If you aren’t able to donate have no fear - we made a conscious decision to not lock any video content behind a paywall. As always the best way to support us is to watch our videos until the end, like, comment, and share when you can!

It's Impy Season baby! As we round off December the deadline for Media Molecule's Impy Awards for Dreams PS4/PS5 is fast approaching! Very stressful for creators - but great for players as its usually around this time we see some next-level Dreams uploaded.

We currently have a HUGE shortlist of amazing games & creations to share with you - but you can watch at least 10 of them in our newest Top 10 Video!

We've found what we think is the best Dream based on Netflix's Squid Game, a game inspired by Rockstar Game's legendary Bully/Canis Canem Edit - and a wide variety of art, 2D side scrollers, action games and more!

It means a lot to us if you watch the video to the end, give it a like, and let us know what you think in the comments. It tells Youtube that its content worth sharing!
