King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools
King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools is a family of five free public charter schools, serving students from TK to 12th grade. Each unique school was born out of community need in Barrio Logan, southeast, and downtown San Diego. At King-Chavez schools, educating students involves more than the traditional classroom experience. An unwavering personal investment is made in every student in every school, rooted from a foundation of love.
KCNS is committed to providing a welcoming and culturally sensitive environment along with unique learning opportunities like dual language instruction, blended learning with 1:1 technology, impactful field experiences, internships & job training, and free after school programs. Our students learn to be strong leaders equipped with 21st century skills and, in the spirit of our namesake, ready to become movers in their community.
