Mpoires: a combination of the words ''mpires'' (beers) and ''moires'' (degrees)...
Hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece's second largest city, 180 mPoires is a five-piece band that uniquely combines sounds, styles and languages in a fresh yet familiar blend. They embarked on their music journey in 2015. After a few lineup changes (and a lot of beers!), they finally found their personal artistic identity, adopting a rock - pop style with funk or soul elements.
They recorded their first demo, ''Lefkos Kamvas'' in 2016 and a live cover of ''Zilevo'', a folk-pop tune by renowned Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis in 2017. The cover debuted on Radio Thessaloniki, one of the town's most popular radios. In July 2019, the band came back into the studio with new ideas and they came out with a couple of new singles, including Drown, Jimmy and Didi. They have appeared in a couple of local festivals and venues. In May 2019 they even took part in a documentary about street musicians in Thessaloniki.
