I believe a man’s role in a relationship goes beyond simply providing the basic necessities.
A man should also bring guidance, knowledge, leadership, and vision to the relationship. He should help his partner recognize her purpose, encourage her to walk in that purpose, and teach her the skills and knowledge he has that can complement her goals and create opportunities for financial growth.
The goal isn’t to make your partner dependent on you. The goal is to make your partner capable.
If you’re no longer there one day, your partner should still have the knowledge, confidence, and ability to sustain the life you built together and, ideally, thrive beyond it.
Real partnership is about building each other up, preparing each other for the future, and leaving each other stronger than you found each other.
