Dear lovely souls and familiar fibre friends,

I hope you are well and that the equinox is bringing you a sense of balance. I can't wait to update you fully on why I've been so quiet, but I have been lucky enough to work on a really exciting project! I'm currently dyeing fabric for sets and learning breakdown techniques (think ageing of props) with a gorgeous team! It will come to an end fairly soon, so I will share a little of what I'm allowed to share as well as update you on all the projects I've been working on personally! Lots of knitting, spinning, and sewing, also I'm daydreaming of my next natural dyeing project.

I have been excited to film the past couple of weeks but as some of you might know, my health is wobbling. I know and appreciate (so much) that you all understand that certain things have to come before sharing videos, I'm working extra hard to get a better understanding of my health and the means of managing it. In the meantime, I am still quietly working on future videos, projects and work. I have recently released the Hairst patterns as individual patterns, which I hoped to share a closer look at this week. That will be next week now, they're up on Ravelry and Ko-fi!

I was hoping today's update might be along the line of "Hey! Normal service resumed over here, things slow down for me and give me more room to focus on sharing ALL the things we've been upto"

Eh-hem, it's not! It will be soon, however the last two days, my laptop keyboard has been running a muck, and that's been a real spanner in the works! So I'm hoping to get a video out tomorrow, we have a new external hard drive coming tomorrow, which should hopefully stop my poor laptop overheating and get all my ducks back in row.


I'm truly excited to share and settle back into some sort of routine for a while, how are you doing? If you're in the Northern hemisphere I hope you're not suffering too much from the quickly shortening days and you're finding comfort in your craft 🫶

It's been a wild week! From Critical Role Live at Wembley to Comicon, it's been a blast. However, because of that, I've only just finished recording a video for this week! Without stress or panic, it'll be live this evening as usual, if not tomorrow. There are so many fun things to share and crafts that have been happening, this week we will talk about current and finished knitting projects, an event called Wild about Wool & a trip to the British Museum. Saving the other crafts and chatting about our nerdy adventures for next week!

In the meantime here's a cheeky peek of some Halloween fun I got to have yesterday with my lovely friend Frida, who you might recognise from our trip to Norway! I can't wait to show you the updated details on these projects.

It seems that whilst, I have been crafting away on samples and fibre crafts consistently this summer, the podcast gods have not been in my favour. From deadlines meaning that the podcast has to take the back seat to days like yesterday when I set up ready to record (I moved the entire living room in the process!) and the camera had decided it wanted to go to London with Alex for the day...

Nevertheless, I have SO much to share, and that feels quite overwhelming, in a good way. The trip I recently had to see Marina Skau combined with many finished projects has unleashed a new wave of comfort and excitement in my love of fibre crafts.

Today, I sat down at my computer and realised Alex & I were still sharing a working charger, and I didn't have one at home... it took me half the day to source an affordably priced charger, and as such, I didn't want to rush to put out a video for the sake of it!

So with the camera going 'walkies', some tech issues, and some inspiring happenings in the next few weeks, I won't be uploading this evening or next Wednesday. After that, we resume our normal schedule, as well as finally being able to share some of the other projects I've been working on. I hope to be in the knitting lounge in our lovely discord group this evening from 6-7 pm (UK time) as I could do with listening to others talking about their projects and catching up with both familiar and new faces. Well, as if there's another week of not sharing! As much as I've got lots of exciting knitting, adventure and other crafting chat! I've had a little mishap and 3 of my favourite knitted items have gone to the graveyard! youtube.com/shorts/3SOND-NusC... if you want to have a little lol.


I don't want it to overshadow any of the fun so I'm not going to record this week! There will be a video next week though, I promise, talking knitalongs, adventures and I'm guessing now, a mini yarn/garment destash to help replace these dead items.

Also @zakamiyarns had the idea of a 'Tragedy Gallery' and I honestly love that concept, the sad item with some information on the maker, item and how it departed would be so cool! What do you think?✨️
