I am not sure most of you know since I have not made a lot of videos. I was doing some late spring cleaning and we had company. So I have been talking to Mark about getting the freezers re organized again we did for the small one that is in the Freeze dryer room. However the big one that holds the most is packed. I know back in the day I did like a 30 day NO buy meals. I mean I needed things like lettuce and the such, milk and that sort of thing but we made it thru and we probably saved about 250+ dollars over that time. So I thought hey I wonder how many meals we can make. I had this super old list of food and I printed it out and asked Mark to check off some meals he would not mind eating. He checked off over 60 meals!!! And that did not count for some of the meals I have found or some that FB gets me in trouble with. So I added and took out some of the meals I had on the old spread sheet and we do like to have like nacho/taco and burgers a LOT and I left the last page with taco, burgers and new meals I find but there is a good 150 meals and we are on day 3 now! Wish us luck I understand its SUPER hard to read on here the pics can only be soo big. If you are wondering what I ended up doing with ALL those Raspberries here is a small visual of some of them. 5 of the cases I got for FREE!
Todays work I could not of gotten ALL of this done today without Marks help! Thanks again Steve for giving me all these berries! 1st pic is 8 jams in pints plus one going to Marks work. 6 half pints plus 2 in the fridge and 3 going to Marks work. 2nd pic is 2 quarts if I ever get over my fear of making pies, 4 half pints I can use for Belgium Waffles! 11 if the 12 oz jars and 10 pints of Pie filling. 2nd pic is all pie filling 1st pic is all jam. I am very grateful for my gadgets and that ball jam/jelly maker. My canners and the equipment to make this a way easier job. Tomorrow wash them up and put them on the shelves :) yes my back is hurting and I am tired. There are 5 trays in the freeze dryer full of berries and then 5 trays in the freezer that I am not sure what I am doing with yet but this was a total of 132 packs of 6oz Raspberries. All for FREE!!!! Thankful is not even a start for this blessing of berries! The photo gets cut off you cant see the full pics :(
