Just popping in to let everyone know, I am making the most of my "time off" if you will from the channel. My focus has been on long overdue instructions for the kits I offer in my Etsy shop. I did try doing a mini update video but I found myself getting super anxious part way through filming so I decided to turn the camera off and going to give myself more time. While I want to get back to doing content, I also don't want to rush things either. Until then, let me know what you guys have been up to and any video ideas you would love to see from me.

Hey guys, I have come to the somewhat hard decision that going into the new year I am going to be taking a break from content creation on the platform. How long? Not sure. What I do know is I need to stop living my life in front of a screen, and get back to living life in the present.

For those unaware, for the last 2-years making videos has gone from something I really enjoyed doing and it has turned into something I find to be quite bothersome and challenging. I have a bad tendency to just "push on since it took so long to get here" and that is catching up to me!

I do want to extend a massive THANK YOU to everyone over the years who has been super awesome both on/off camera. It means the world to me with your generosity, support, etc. Without you, I would have quit this long ago for better or for worse!

What does the future hold? I am hoping at some point to feel more comfortable making content again. Will that ever happen? Honestly, not sure. And maybe that's just another door closing in my life for the better?

For those curious about what made me finally decide it was time to stop were when I was compulsively checking my YouTube analytics to see "Is this video doing ok? How much did I earn? Do I have to remove more scam comments?" That was not a healthy cycle and something I spent way, way too much time on!

So to sum it up both sides of Calvin, the guy in the videos, and the guy behind the videos, needs a break.

Huge thanks to my friend John for taking photos of me volunteering at the railroad museum over the weekend. I promise I have fun, I just have to be hyper-vigilant when on duty is all!

That aside, I hope to have some new stuff rolling out soon-ish. When I flew down to see my friend performing in a college orchestra I was going to film some Corvair footage, but my dad had managed to hurt his back (again), and filming that was not on the table, sadly. Also, I am working on *redacted* with *redacted* so that's a 2025 project! That being said, I hope to have some stuff cranking out soon-ish. Having not made videos has given me lots of time to reflect and this is something I will touch on in the future. But that aside, time to get busy again with something!

Sorry guys, no video this week, I have been up to my eyeballs in Etsy orders/University stuff but promise I will have something hopefully by next week! In the meantime, ‪@carlroberts2539‬ from Carls Whimsical Railways did an incredible video showcasing some of the models I make so go check that out if you are interested. The guy is a master at both whimsical and realistic model railroading.

Hey guys, as a heads up I am going to be headed back to school this coming Monday in the hopes of finishing up my degree. I won't go into specifics here, but I took a break after the Spring of 2021 semester for personal reasons. Due to circumstances out of my control at the beginning of February, I opted to look into going back to school for what would be the fall semester and that's been an emotional roller coaster! That said, I think it is wise if I take a step back from video production for a few weeks to focus on chasing people down and figuring out what exactly my tuition money is going to get me.

If you want to keep up on things, I will try to do some public posts on my Patreon page as I feel more comfortable being a bit more candid over there. I do want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who's watched the videos over the years, it genuinely means a lot to me, and hopefully when I get through all this... Well, I can figure out what the future holds!

Ok. I just saw the news about Shapeways going into bankruptcy and I have some thoughts on this. Part of me feels like doing a video would be insightful as someone who sold models on there, and another part of me feels like I would be yelling into the void. Let me know what you guys think below.
