Do you think Harry Potter film series is just fantasy?
Because… it’s not - not all of it. A lot of what you see: the humour, the school system, the way people speak - is actually very British.
I’ve just released a lesson breaking it all down: what’s real, what’s exaggerated, and what it reveals about British culture.
Watch here: https://youtu.be/-a1Jxow4KK0?si=tHfJ5...
You’ll never see Harry Potter the same way again

I would argue there's never been a more important time than now to learn slang. Slang is often linked to generations, and while someone born in the 1980s might not want to start using Gen Z slang like 'rizz' or 'bet' in everyday conversations, things have changed. In the past, you needed it to understand some film references, but with social media - everyone is now more connected than ever before. You will no doubt come across these terms on social media - and if you don't understand them, you're going to feel confused or left out - 'no cap'. In my latest YouTube lesson, I'll teach you important social media slang you'll need - and what the conversation is really about: https://youtu.be/xAEVULIf0fk
