After some time in Belize, we rode back into Guatemala — endless green hills, remote villages, and one of the most tense encounters we’ve had on the road.

Sometimes the road gives you unexpected company 🐢💚

We found this little guy right in the middle of the road while cycling through Belize — and carefully helped him get to safety.

He wasn’t hurt, just a bit lost! We made sure he was safe before carrying on our ride.

Moments like these remind us why we love slow travel — you notice the small lives along the way.
