Welcome to Start Fresh Now.
I’m Doug — father, grandfather, Army veteran, and someone who knows what it’s like to feel stuck after leaving the military.
For years, I worked long hours, wore myself out, and still came up short.
No retirement savings. No backup plan.
Just stress, debt, and burnout.
After getting burned in a previous business, I didn’t trust anything online.
So I stopped chasing hype and focused on learning real digital skills — step by step, with structure and support.
Now I’m documenting the journey, sharing what I’m learning, and helping other veterans find direction again — one step at a time.
This isn’t about get-rich-quick promises.
It’s about building something real that fits your life.
Your second act starts here.

Going live tonight.
There’s a part of military transition nobody really warns us about —
and it’s not jobs or resumes.
If you’ve ever stayed busy but still felt lost, this conversation is for you.
📍 Live tonight — hope to see you there.

Going live tonight at 8 PM EASTERN
A lot of us were trained to push through.
To grind.
To not complain.
But somewhere along the way, that turns into exhaustion… and feeling like life is slipping by.
Tonight I’m talking about why that happens and what actually changes it.
If you’re feeling worn down, you’re not alone.

Quiet mornings are usually when the real thoughts show up.
Anyone else do their best thinking before the noise of the day starts?

Curious where most people are feeling the pressure lately.
What feels heavier right now?

Lately I’ve been thinking about how many people quietly feel behind — especially when it comes to money and retirement.
It’s not panic. It’s awareness.
What’s something you didn’t expect to be worrying about at this stage of life?

First few days of the new year.
No fireworks here — just steady progress.
I’m reminding myself that momentum doesn’t come from motivation.
It comes from small, repeatable actions done without panic.
If you’re easing into the year instead of sprinting, that’s okay.
Consistency beats intensity every time.
How are you approaching the start of this year — slow and steady, or full speed?

As this year winds down, I’ve been thinking less about resolutions
and more about mission.
Not big promises.
Not pressure.
Just showing up with more structure, more intention, and a pace I can actually sustain.
2026 isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing the right things — consistently.
If you’re heading into the new year feeling tired but hopeful, you’re not alone.
What’s one thing you want to do better, not necessarily bigger, next year?

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting.
2025 wasn’t perfect — but it taught me some important lessons.
That progress isn’t always loud.
That staying consistent matters more than quick wins.
And that building something meaningful takes patience, structure, and showing up even when it feels slow.
For anyone out there feeling discouraged or wondering if they should keep going — sometimes staying the course is the win.
I’m carrying those lessons into the next year, and I appreciate everyone who’s been part of this journey so far.
More to come.
