Personally I think I should focus on watering instead of sowing as I admit I am not skilled yet in the latter especially now that I know its equally important.

[Some of the earliest manuscripts do not include 16:9–20.]
There is an abrupt change in Mark where the added endind doesn't fit with the previous verses however the other books in the bible support the added ending. Such as I Corinthians which predates the Gospels.
II. The completeness of the ending
Even if it were to end in verse 8 it would still be sufficient to prove the ressurection of Jesus specifically Mark 16:6
Take away the ressuraction and we have a powerless Gospel—full of empty promises that do not deliver. (1 Corinthians 15:17)
III. The astonishment of the ending of Mark.
The reaction of astonishment amazement and fear of the women is reflected throughout Mark where the exact same words are used as a reaction to Jesus and what he does.
Are we also gripped with amazement at the resurrection?
Personally I'm more gripped with amazement at his death but I forget about the resurrection when it is just as important.

This is because they recognized his sovereignty and the insignificance of the creation compared to it's creator. Prayer always begims with a right understanding of God. 2. Their trust in God comes from a hope grounded in his word -God knows what he is doing -He is good -He is in charge 3. A desire to do his will -prayer is not just one way communication. -pray for the strength to do his will not for an easy life.
Prayer In the face of the Passion Jeus sought Gid in prayer to fulfill his plan of Salvation

- Jesus sought God's strength through prayer and exhorted his disciples to do the same. - Jesus prayed in a garden that he potentially frequented along with his 3 closest Disciples. - In the face of great distress Jesus response was to watch and pray. - To watch means to be alert against the enemy and be sensitive to God's leading sometimes it's easy to think of our problems or external things as the enemy but the real enemy'sis our flesh within. - The disciples were not instructed to watch for the betrayer but to resist the fear of the Devil. - Jesus was not only afraid of the physical pain but the bearing of Sin -Many pray let this cup pass away but few pray thy will be done - Jesus showed us how to pray in times of distress and times of calm. Even if you're afraid don't let it stop you from praying.
My prayer life hasn't been good as I'm always looking for the ideal time to pray but there's never an ideal time.
II. Embracing the Passion - Jesus prayer helped strengthen him and face his fate with authority and peace fully willing to give his life. - They captured him in darkness because they expected resistance not knowing that Jesus was not like the other "Messiahs" that were armed rebels. - Isaiah 53: 7-8 was fulfilled. - Look to the Lord's example and experience, to his wrestling in prayer in the face of the passion and you will find the strength to face your own.

Reflection as I was singing: I realized how I've developed a very good capability to cope with problems and grief in my life while most people who experience the same get overwhelmed. I thought this was because I've built up a tolerance over the years and this caused me to have pride but I realized it had nothing to do with my mental fortitude but had everything to do with the hope I have in the Gospel that other's don't share because without it or when I forget sometimes I'm just as vulnerable as anyone else. Instead of being glad that I'm not them I should have compassion and realize I have hope in order to share it in the first place because those who have hope can lift others up.
The suffering Messiah Mark 14 V13 - During that time women usually carried water jugs so a man carrying water jug would stand out.
V18 - The announcement of the Betrayal The disciples were very sorrowful. It hurts more when you least expect it. Innoncence - Jesus was blameless Position - Jesus was the Son of God Closeness - Jesus was with Judas for 3 years
V23 when we want to remeber someone we usually bring out a thing to associate with them. In this case it was bread and wine. Let us preach the Gospel to ourselves everyday and make it a habit to rember Jesus moment by moment.
V26-31 Jesus breaks the news that not only Judas will deny him but so will all of his disciples. Judas betrayal was because of his unbelief while the disciples were unexpectedly overwhelmed but by God's Grace they were able to recover and become stronger believers in Christ. Never think you can't fall because it will cause self reliance.
Jesus as the suffering Messiah who was betrayed is our suffering messiah to be remebered.
Song of the day: I run to Christ-when confronted with temptations its not enough to just run away but to also run towards Christ.
1. We worship not to gain favor but because God favored us when he chose to grant us salvation 2. The scope of worship Worship used to only be fpr the Jews but now it's in every believers heart. 3. Means of worship Renewed mind- What is in you mind will become your action, action becomes habit, habit becomes lifestyle. To change ypur mind change ypur worldview. Adopt a biblical worldview by studying the Bible Spiritual Gifts Use to build the body of Christ
4. The way to worship LOVE. Try to outdo each other in Love. Be patient in affliction. These are the natural outflow of a renewed mind and a life offered as a living sacrifice.
The Charge Urgency and Reward in Preaching God's Word
1. The Charge (2 Timothy 4: 1-2) Not only to Timothy as the pastor of his church but to us also. The entire point of our lives here on earth is preparing for Christ's return our our return to him. Always be ready to preach God's word no matter the circumstamces. 2. The Urgency Enduring Hardship is more than surviving suffering but also suffering with the right attitude of heart. Take care of yourself for the glory of Christ. 3. The Reward God will help you fulfill his charge
