The YouTube "hype" system is such bunk. When you look at what types of videos and creators are allowed the "hype" button you see it's very low information quality and not at all challenging. It's an advertiser friendly way of pretending humans interacted with a video, it's probably already being abused for someone's "I got #1 hype on YouTube" video 😅
So many governments taking the easy fast route to corporate sponsored authoritarianism by lazily thinking about controlling citizens rather than thinking about multiplying citizen power with technology
