I believe you don't need an expensive 4X4 to travel this great land. Travel Australia Your Way. Not everyone can afford an expensive 4x4 tourer. My 1996 NJ Pajero TD market value is less than A$10K.
The value is in the reliability not the market value.
Consider this; on a trip into Weipa, Gulf Country & Cape York via the Old Tele Track (OTT) with friends in a V8 Toyota 70 series, market value +A$100K. Same trip & challenges no issues. I believe the value is in the reliability not the market value.
If you’re not confident about doing your own maintenance don’t do it, don’t follow my tips. Be safe & go to a mechanic to fix or maintain your vehicle.
