Check out the sonic boom I captured on camera in Boron, CA, near Edwards Air Force Base. The smartphone I was using, the Samsung S23 ultra, has a blanking feature that protects the microphone from damage if there is a sudden loud noise. What you hear is one-tenth as loud as this sucker was! BOOM! As you listen to this clip, turn your volume up first. You can hear jets first, then a sonic boom Honestly, it scared the you know what out of me! You can see the camera shake too, as the wave hit. Then you hear the echo across the Mojave. Sonic boom are rare to catch, mainly because you don't know when they're coming! Please share out so others can hear this rare phenomenon. Hit the like button, too!
