#TheExorcism: another year, another Russell Crowe “exorcism” movie. This time he is playing an actor who is playing a priest so bit meta there. The film actually had some promise and intrigue as Crowe’s character was dealing with his own personal demons and not the supernatural kind. I think there is a good film here, but the latter half of the film gets kinda lazy and the titular scene is actually pretty underwhelming.
This movie had some fun moments and laughs as you would expect from a ghostbusters movie. The film didn’t make me care about the main characters as much as I probably should. A bit uneven tone at times as they did the thing were a scene is supposed to be serious and then they go for a gag. All in all, it was an ok movie if not exactly memorable.
Well this sucks. Akira Toiyama, the creator of many different manga most notably Dragon Ball, has passed away. His characters and stories have had a tremendous impact on my life and have taught me many lessons. R.I.P. to a legend and prayers for him and his family and friends.
