New video later today, and it’s a more personal one than usual. I’ve been trying to get back into WoW for months, and nothing sticks. So I made a video about why, and about where my head keeps going instead. Not a goodbye to any of this, the videos are still the fun part. It’s the logging in part I wanted to talk about.
One year ago today I uploaded my first video, honestly not expecting more than a handful of people to ever see it. A year later there’s over twenty six hundred of you here, and that still feels a bit surreal to me. I make these on the side, in the time I can find, and the only reason I keep going is that it’s genuinely fun, and a huge part of that is the conversations down in the comments. You’ve corrected me when I’ve gotten things wrong, argued with me when you disagreed, and stuck around through some pretty weird times in this scene. So mostly I just wanted to say thank you. Here’s to whatever the next year brings. What’s been your favourite video so far, and what do you want to see more of?
Quick one for you all. The stock footage / b-roll in my videos, does it add to them or distract? Would you rather I just stick to WoW footage? Curious what you actually prefer. Thx for watching and engaging.
Follow up on todays video: remember I mentioned there were a few documents I couldn't view yet? Well, one of them just opened up, and it's the big one. It's Blizzard withdrawing the entire unmasking application, the whole effort to subpoena Discord, PayPal, GitHub and the rest. And the reason they give is exactly what the video was about: because the defendants showed up. Once Dutch, Kaladin and the others stepped forward and accepted the lawsuit, Blizzard didn't need the subpoenas to find out who they are anymore. One catch, they withdrew it "without prejudice," so they can bring it back later, probably to chase whoever's still hiding. But for now, the hunt to unmask them is off.
Thx for watching the content, I really do appreciate it.
Funny timing, watching official WoW creators, half of them probably sitting on some Classic Plus NDA right now, openly gushing over the Conquest of Azeroth trailer like it’s the second coming. They know. They can see what the private scene is doing that official can’t. Blizzard’s suing these servers and their own top creators are hyping them anyway.

Would Classic+ benefit from having a MSQ?

The leaks claim Classic Plus would cost $40 to $70 up front, plus its own monthly sub. All unconfirmed, but where’s your line?

Is Blizzard hunting private servers actually helping them, or hurting them?
