This time of year in Japan, we're constantly bombarded with saturated photos of cherry blossoms and scenes that depict a wide array of locations and touristy vibes. So, when I was out shooting, I thought differently, and decided to craft some images with black & white film. That last photo is looking down into the river. These are shot with Ilford Delta 100 and developed with Kodak D-76. FOUR PHOTOS.
OK! So, I planned on shooting at least three rolls of film this past weekend, but only made it to two. Fuji 400 and 200. I also captured half a roll of 800T. I'll be dropping these off at my local mom & pop lab tomorrow. They do same-day dev & scan for a pretty decent price. I hope to craft a video about all this very soon. Stand by!
I'm off to Kyoto in a couple days. I'm thinking of shooting ALL B&W film. I'm hesitating, thinking I should ONLY shoot digital. It would be tough shooting both. What would you do? I want to know!
Good evening, from Tokyo. I hope you'll be able to attend my latest exhibition in Shibuya, starting on the 23rd until the 28th. There will be a reception/partayyyy on the 27th at 6pm. Twelve pieces, framed, shot on b&w film. Cruise over!
I've been overseas for the past couple weeks, enjoying the countryside in rural USA.
Keeping with the style and substance of my channel, I'm looking forward to editing a new video that features some small side streets in Tokyo. It'll show you all sorts of cool footage and early-morning shots of some tasty grit and grime, long before people hit the area for after-work dining.
I've been receiving lots of messages from people asking about what kind of B&W film they should use when starting off. Well, XP2 is by far the best stock to shoot for many reasons. Find out more, here:
Thank you all so much for 500 subscribers! I've had an interesting time over the last couple years creating this channel and I appreciate every one of you holding fast and stickin' with me. I hope to update my "Shibuya in the rain" video tomorrow, so we'll see how that turns out. ***waiting for ran***
Hey, friends. I've been hella busy this past month with a couple photo shows and such. Thanks for hangin' in there. I should be wrapping up a video about the latest Tokyo street photography show that was in Shibuya, so stay tuned!
