At 63, I am empowered to inspire women aged 50 and above to be their best person and to embrace their age. I share tips on skin care, makeup, fashion, hair care, feeling good, health and exercise, so that we feel good and then, we look good from within.
I share my stories, experience and research so that you can find value in them and live your best life because I believe that we need to love our age in order to stay positive, competitive and relevant.
I was ashamed of my age from my mid-40s to late 50s because of the stigma that older women lose their value and when we compare ourselves with the younger generation, it can affect our self-esteem.
We need to appreciate ourselves for who we are amidst the wrinkles, jowls, sagging skin and belly fat from menopause. It is time to strengthen our confidence knowing that we have something to be proud of!
Yes, we can always get better every day! I am so happy you found my channel.

Hello my beautiful friends! I really want to build a community that empowers older women so that we do not feel like we are fading or losing relevance. Some of us are confident in our own skin; some feel left out and ignored; some feel like nothing has changed; while some feel like they want to improve but don't know where to start. Wherever you are in this life, I am truly interested to know how you are feeling about yourself now that you are older and if there is something good that you'd like to share, please do so. I want to put together your feedback in a video and together we can empower one another.
If you'd like me to feature your comments in a video, please email me at wishuponapond@gmail.com with the following:
If you'd like to share your video:
1. Your 1 minute video talking about what makes you feel proud of your age. You can mention your age, or in a bracket like 'I am in my 50's', etc.
2. Your name (first, or first and last)
3. Your socials (so that I can share them): Youtube, Instagram, or Tiktok.
If you'd like to share your photo instead of a video, by all means, please do so.
I always loved featuring others and if it can make us all feel better about ourselves, I am more than happy to do so!
By the way, I have finally set up my new Facebook page, Self-Esteem Through the Years. It is so new, I am the only follower, lol!
Come find me on Facebook and let's connect there, too!

One secret to feeling younger than your age is to mingle with the younger generation and I've proven that for years. I also happen to love working with the youth because I feel a certain responsibility to nurture and guide them so that they become their best versions. So when I see them after many years, I become so honestly proud of them.
Your thoughts?

In this post, I celebrate a very, very personal milestone because I feel that I have built a strong, family around my YouTube network. I consider you all my family! This March 30th, I celebrate my 40th wedding anniversary. My hubby and I met at university during our senior year and dated for 3 years before we said our 'I Do's'.
People ask me 'How do you stay married?' I say there is no easy solution. Loving one another is a given, but being aware of and acknowledging each other's limitations are key to staying together. The key values in a relationship are respect and trust and an overwhelming desire to protect the other and speak of them in only the best of words. Do things together as much as you can and never go to sleep without making up after an argument.

Hello my luvs! How is everyone today?
I am sad today and it is because I am not able to post a YouTube short. I read that YouTube is down in some areas so I must be one of those affected. I can watch and enjoy the videos on YouTube but I just am not able to upload a 14-second clip. I normally upload 2 shorts within 24 hours to keep you entertained or informed and I am so sorry that I had only one short today. :( I hope you already saw it, and enjoyed it. In the meantime, you all take care. Enjoy every moment and be grateful every single day!
Stay healthy. The flu is going around.

Let's motivate one another to stay healthy and fit as we get older. At 63, I have found a way to maintain your weight in a fun, easy and sustainable way. I do exercise regularly and I just thought I'd share the idea of creating a motivating force: That is, to create memories of your health journey.
Here's what I have: I'm saving all of my gym wristbands. Everytime I use the gym, I am given a wristband and it's different every day.
By the end of this year, I wonder what I could make out of all of these?
How about you? What motivates you to exercise?

Hello everyone, we're in mid-January and I just wanted to thank those who joined my poll about which eBook you'd like me to work on. It looks like the top choice is 'Lose Weight Fast and Achieve Overall Health (For Women Over 50)' and yes, I am super excited to create that eBook because the topic is truly very close to my heart. I lived it and I am 'your story'. This coming weekend, I would like to start by sharing how I lost weight from close to 150 lbs in 2015/2016 to 126 lbs in 2018 and 117 lbs (2025). My weight journey happened during menopause and post menopause stage when my metabolism was nowhere around, I had a huge belly fat, was on anti-cholesterol and anti-hypertension medicines. I never took any weight-reducing pills, injections, surgeries or fat-trimming straps or oils. I did it the right, safe, healthy way and I have been taken off my meds since 2016/2017 and stay free of them because I have maintained a healthy, normal lifestyle since. If there is anyone of you, aged 50 and above, who has a struggle losing weight or staying healthy, remember: You are just as important as the people you love and take care of. So take care of yourself, too. That was my wake up all. As a wife and mom of two girls, I knew that I had to be there for them and show a good example. I hope that you will join me this coming weekend.
Take care, my loves. You are precious and it inspires me to help those of you who need a little bit of boost in self-esteem, body image and confidence.

Newsflash! I am now going through intensive research on writing my eBook and I have a number of topics to work on but I thought I'd ask you, my loves, to help me decide on what to write first. The reason I have the choices below is because I can use my story as my main framework on writing the content. In other words, these are topics that I can comfortably talk about because I have lived them and with my story, I hope that I can inspire anyone out there to achieve their goals.
If you also have another suggestion that is within my niche, please enter in the comments. I truly appreciate you all and hearing your feedback means so much to me as I move on to the next chapter of my online platform.
Happy New Year!
