Rest in peace, Eric Dane 💔
The actor, best known for playing “Dr. McSteamy” (Mark Sloan) on Grey’s Anatomy and Cal Jacobs on Euphoria, has died aged 53, less than a year after revealing he had ALS.
His family said he spent his final days surrounded by his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and their daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were “the center of his world.”
Euphoria creator Sam Levinson said he was “heartbroken” over the death of Dane.
Actor Patrick Dempsey paid tribute to his Grey’s Anatomy co-star Eric Dane, describing him as the “funniest man”.
Dempsey fondly remembered Dane as a joy to work with, praising his great sense of humour and the fun he brought to the set, adding they had a “wonderful mutual respect.”

James Van Der Beek, best known for his starring role in US teen drama Dawson’s Creek, has died aged 48 after being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
The father of six starred in many late ’90s and early 2000s favourites, including Dawson’s Creek and Varsity Blues.
Katie Holmes has paid tribute to her Dawson’s Creek co-star James Van Der Beek, remembering his “bravery” and “selflessness”, and their “adventures of a unique youth.”
His other co-star Busy Philipps shared a post with photos through the years, mourning the loss of her friend.
Philipps, who played Audrey Liddell on the show, said she was “heartbroken” and linked a fundraiser to support his family.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar commented that she is “so sad for your beautiful family.”
