Things have profoundly changed in my life. After I stopped my business and we got empty nesters I needed a new challenge. I started to crochet. First smaller pieces. Then I started with some slow stitching. And in November 23 I suddenly started to create a large human sculpture in crochet. It became a large piece that represented my fear for being a true artist.
It was called 'I am Good Enough' and when I finally finished it I truly felt this was an enormous breakthrough. And I decided this was just the beginning. So I started a second one that will be called 'I am Authentic'. It's an to be authentic to your true calling. This is the current work I am mostly showing. working as an artist isn't the easiest thing to do as it asks perseverance and dedication to push through. Some days are easy other days are utter torture. But I'll keep on going.
The plan is to create a third one that will be called 'I am Dark' an ode to my dark side.

What if life get's in the way?
What if you're getting bullied by your own devilish voice?
What if you are getting down of what is happening in the world?
We all get to the point when you feel you are stuck. But last weeks I found an easy way to get inspired again and it's' not that difficult at all. It is accesable for everyone at any moment. You only have to do it :)

I'm sorry I disappeared but I was kindof lost in doing different things. At the moment I'm into recycling and reusing fabric and everything that is thrifted. Life isn't always easy. But I managed to make lemonade out of the lemons again. Today I posted a short about how I made this cuff using slow stitching which I feel is very comforting to my mind.

Today I used the Mother color technique. it's very relaxing and very easy to do. You don't need fancy stuff any paint will do. You can use any color you like and while enjoying you learn something too.

Today I made a cute grid kinda page and while I was recording the voice over I remembered that someone (it was Kate 'Madhatters' )asked to get out a color-challenge. Now this isn't so much of a challenge but these were the colours I basically used and by mixing them more or less this 'pond' came out. Hiya Knotters,
I'm gonna try to beat that winter dip this year by creating art. I'm not pinning myself down on where, what or how. Just a daily doses of art :) I also will try to do a daily upload altho that won't be possible every day for the coming months but I will try to do that as much as possible. But what I would like most of all is that we can create 'together'. Not sure in what kindof format I will put that yet but we'll see. If you got any suggestions I would love to hear it from you.
