This song is from the original version of my Human Design Gate 8 poem—the one that ignited my entire journey into exploring the archetypes of the Human Design gates. As I developed the series, I refined the voice and expression of this poem, leading to a more polished second version.

Both versions hold their own beauty and reflect the essence of Gate 8 in unique ways. The refined version captures a softer, more harmonious perspective, but it feels like an artist might dim their bold, raw, or vulnerable expression to fit broader societal expectations.

In contrast, the original version resonates with the artist who fully embraces their uniqueness, refusing to be constrained by others’ expectations. It embodies the energy of Gate 8—powerful, inspiring, and unapologetic. It’s not about confrontation, but about standing firm in your authenticity without succumbing to the pressure to conform.

This is a call to all creatives: Embrace who you are in all your raw and vibrant glory. Let’s not lose ourselves in the quest for approval, but instead shine brightly as our true selves.

This is also a message inviting each of you reading this to embrace your fullest, most authentic self and let your light shine out into the world. The world needs your light!
