The Gooner Claude Trust

Evening all! Lily here!

Firstly apologies it’s been a while since I’ve posted or updated you all.

Lots has been going on in the background whilst myself and my fellow trustees work on ways to promote the Gooner Claude Trust.

I’m pleased to let you know that we now have several ideas and events in the pipeline! We will shortly be sharing an over view on our first successful year of supporting people in Claude’s memory.

All our plans wouldn’t be possible without the love and support from everyone who loved Claude.
The first of our events to remember Claude and raise funds to have another fantastic year is The Claude Cup.

When dad first passed away the idea of an annual cup in his name was one of the top things I wanted to achieve and I am delighted that now is the right time to go ahead.

The inaugural 'Claude Cup' has been organised by AFTV in conjunction with us (Claude's family and closest friends) to celebrate the memory of Claude Callegari.

DATE & TIME: Sunday, 26th June 2022 (12pm - 5pm)

VENUE: New River Stadium, London, N22 5QW

TEAMS: AFTV FC, HACKNEY WICK FC, S.E. DONS FC & THE WALL FC

FORMAT: 3 games (2 semi-finals, and 1 final), the winners of the semi-finals, will contest the final.
Each game (including the final), will be of 60 minute duration, 2x 30 mins per half.


REFRESHMENTS: Food and refreshments will be available on the day.

Apologies it’s taken me a few days to get my head together and post here. Below is a statement put out on social media on Sunday.
As mentioned there are no hard feelings or falling outs to explain, however as a mum of three children with additional needs I hope you can bare with me whilst I decide on what road to take the channel.

It goes without saying how grateful I am to everyone here who has not only supported my dad throughout but supported Terry and Diesel in the last nine months too.

Any subscriptions that have been paid in the last month or continue to be received whilst a decision is made will go directly to The Gooner Claude Trust. More details about the trust can be found via our social media channels and our website goonerclaude.co.uk

When dad passed away I was incredibly lucky to have a great team around me I’ve come to love as family.

These past 9 months have been rollercoaster of emotion as Terry and Diesel kept the channel alive and helped me promote and support The Gooner Claude Trust.

All good things move on, and as the guys found their feet on their own without my dad it was only natural they would move on to bigger and better things.

Everyone has parted this natural crossroads on good terms and I wish Diesel the absolute best as he launches his new channel.

I look forward to continuing to work with Terry & Diesel in the future as The Gooner Claude Trust continues my fathers legacy.

Over the next few days you will notice the social media channels change over to the charity details.

I hope that everyone here who supported my dad at any point before or after his death will continue to follow these accounts alongside Diesels new venture to support the trust.

But as dad would say as far as Claude & The Banstas is concerned ITS TIME TO GO!
