ADOR terminates contract with NewJeans’ Danielle… “Will hold her mother legally responsible”

ADOR, the agency of the group NewJeans, has terminated its exclusive contract with member Danielle.

According to Newsis on the 29th, ADOR stated, “We have determined that it is difficult to continue working together with Danielle as a member of NewJeans and an artist under ADOR, and today we have notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract.”

ADOR also explained, “We plan to pursue legal responsibility against one member of Danielle’s family and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who bear significant responsibility for causing the current dispute and for NewJeans’ departure and delayed return.”

The family member mentioned is Danielle’s mother. She is known to be a key aide in the alleged tampering suspicions involving former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.

Another member, Hanni, will remain with ADOR. Minji is currently in talks with ADOR.

Previously, the other NewJeans members, Haerin and Hyein, had already returned to ADOR.

Earlier, all five NewJeans members had declared the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR last year, citing a breakdown of trust. However, the court rejected all of their claims and ruled that the exclusive contracts with ADOR remain valid. In other words, it reaffirmed that the exclusive contracts between ADOR and the NewJeans members are valid until July 31, 2029.

Hello Bunnies! I can’t believe it’s already been 1000 days, but it really has been 1000 days. It still feels amazing and a bit unreal that so many people care about us so dearly. I think I’ve always been thankful, but being able to grow older together with people who genuinely cherish us without expecting anything in return, and sharing all kinds of moments together—it's truly precious and I’m so grateful for that.
