Watching sports is one thing. Trying to actually do them is another.

That’s the idea behind Old Dog: New Tricks.

I’ve been getting out of the chair and trying to learn some of the skills I’ve encountered while discovering sports from around the world — from bouncing an Australian rules football to practicing cricket with a ball on a string, with more experiments on the way.

Some attempts go better than others. That’s part of the fun.
