The Noble Helping Hands NGO and Revenue Department Team Kulgam Up to Eradicate Drug Menace in Kulgam
KULGAM – The Noble Helping Hands NGO, in a joint initiative with the Department of Revenue Kulgam, successfully completed a massive wild bung destruction drive in Kulgam Main Town. The drive, aimed at eradicating the menace of drugs in District Kulgam, was led by Naib Tehsildar Mr. Nasir Ahmad Mantoo and Chairman of The Noble Helping Hands, Mr. Mutahir Ahmad.
A significant quantity of wild bung was destroyed during the operation. This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of both organizations to creating a drug-free community and protecting the youth of Kulgam.
"We are determined to eliminate the source of these dangerous substances from our district," stated Mr. Nasir Ahmad Mantoo. "This drive is just one step in our ongoing fight against drug abuse."

The Noble Helping Hands NGO and DLSA Kulgam Successfully Host Awareness Program, Debate, and Painting Competition on Drug Abuse
Kulgam, July 15, 2025 – In a significant move to combat drug abuse, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam, and The Noble Helping Hands NGO, successfully organized an awareness program cum painting and debate competition today at Rest House Chawalgam Kulgam. The event was held under the directives of the Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority and Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority Kulgam.
The program was a resounding success, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of various government and private educational institutions across District Kulgam. Faculty members from 12 educational institutes actively motivated their students to participate in this mega event.

The program was divided into two phases: a debate competition and a painting competition. Both segments showcased brilliant talent, with students delivering powerful speeches and creating compelling artwork centered on the theme of drug eradication.

The event was managed by Mr. Mutahir Ahamd, Chairman of The Noble Helping Hands, supervised by Ms. Fozia Paul, Secretary DLSA Kulgam, and moderated by LADC's.

Participants in the debate competition demonstrated exceptional public speaking abilities and a deep understanding of the societal impact of drug abuse. Their spirited exchange of ideas underscored the critical need for awareness, prevention, and community involvement. Concurrently, the painting competition provided a platform for students to visually express their interpretations of drug abuse, creating emotionally resonant and impactful pieces promoting drug awareness and prevention among their peers.

Winners of both competitions were recognized for their exemplary performances. In the painting competition, Opinawaz secured the first position, SM International School Kulgam came in second, and Al Hilal Chawalgam took third. For the debate competition, Imperial Convent School earned the first position, AA Academy secured second, and Crescent Public School placed third. All participants received appreciation certificates, acknowledging their commitment and effort in addressing this critical issue within their communities. The event aimed not only to celebrate talent but also to foster a collective sense of responsibility in the fight against drug abuse.

Mr. Mutahir Ahmad, Chairman of The Noble Helping Hands, congratulated all participating students for conveying powerful messages through their debate and artistic talents. He also extended his gratitude to the judges, schools, and all members who contributed to the success of the event.

This collaborative effort between DLSA Kulgam and The Noble Helping Hands NGO underscored the vital role of education and community engagement in combating drug abuse, emphasizing the importance of addressing this issue at the grassroots level and empowering youth to take a stand.

*Legal service Day Observed at Townhall Kulgam*

The Noble Helping Hands NGO, chaired by Mr. Mutahir Yaqoob Khanday, celebrated Legal Service Day on November 9, 2024, by distributing ration kits to 20 transgender beneficiaries at Kulgam Town Hall. This initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kulgam.

Today on 5th August 2024 The Noble Helping Hands Kulgam Chairman provide helping hand to one desperate family by Nature of Food Kit and delivered Special Food kit to her.

a widow lady hailing from Bogund Kulgam was in dire need of Food and when our ngo came to know about the said situation of the family we immediately delivered food kit to her.

The packet, named as " Food Kit" contain special products to be used on daily basis like bread, biscuit , Tea, Oil, salt and other things, besides essential commodities.

The Noble Helping Hands is always at forefront to end up the hardships of helpless and poor people and is helping people on two lines – food and other essentials.
It is an initiative in which our aim is that no family or individual sleeps with empty stomach .

Today on 4th of August 2024 in a spirited initiative to promote a drug-free lifestyle among youth,and for the upliftment of Specially Abled Person's *The Noble Helping Hands NGO* Kulgam in collaboration with aid and Care ngo Kulgam organized a cricket Match of Specially abled Person's at Sports stadium Kulgam
The event was held under the guidance of Chairman The Noble Helping Hands NGO and Chairman Aid and Care NGO.
The Match was played between Two Specially Abled Team's Kulgam and Specially Abled Person's cricket team Anantnag.
The Management have fixed 16/16 overs for match
The Kulgam Specially Abled Person's Team Captain Yawar Ahmad Won the Toss and Elected to bat first and set a target of 139 to Anantnag Team in 16 overs, while Chasing the target Anantnag Specially abled team finished the match in just 14.5 Overs and won the match by 16 Runs.
The Volunteer of The Noble Helping Hands and Aid and Care managed the event in very disciplined manner. The Special Tent was installed in stadium and also Drinks, refreshment was Served to Team's during the match, and special team of pharmacists was available for any medical exigency and First aid kit was also available for player's.
The Banners and Poster's against Drug abuse was installed in stadium and Awarness against the drug abuse also spread by using loud speaker's in stadium during the Match.
The tournament aimed to engage the youth in constructive and healthy activities, steering them away from the menace of drug abuse. It featured specially abled person's showcasing their cricketing skills and sportsmanship. The event not only provided a platform for young talents to shine but also served as a medium to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs. The importance of such events in creating a positive and drug-free environment for the youth and Sports can be a powerful tool in diverting young minds from negative influences and instilling discipline, teamwork, and a sense of achievement.
The tournament concluded with an award ceremony where the Both winning team and Runner up team was felicitated with trophies and certificates. the Match refree, Camera Man, Scorer, Commentator and Volunteers was also facilitated by NGO with awards and medals. Participants and spectators alike expressed appreciation for the event, noting its positive impact on raising awareness about drug prevention, and Upliftment of specially Abled Person's.
The successful execution of this cricket tournament marks a significant step towards a drug-free Kashmir fostering a healthier and more vibrant community for the youth.

*World Blood Doner Day 14 June 2024*
Shopian: The Noble Helping Hands -Non-Government Organization (NGO) organized a Blood Donation Camp on 14 June 2024 Friday at District Hospital Shopian to mark World Blood Doner day.
This year the theme was “20 Years of Celebrating Giving: Thank You Blood Donors!“

The camp was inaugurated by Chairman The Noble Helping Hands NGO Mutahir Ahmad and Incharge District Red Cross Shopian in Presence of Volunteers of NGO The Noble Helping Hands and Volunteers of Red Cross Shopian along with a team of doctors and technicians from Hospital.

A total of 24 blood pints were collected throughout the day at the camp which was donated by the Members, Volunteers, of NGO and Recross shopian.
It is abt to mention here that 70 Year old aged person also donated his precious blood during the occasion.

Addressing the Doners and volunteers Chaiman NGO congratulated them for coming forward to the noble cause, blood donation is an often overlooked, yet incredibly important, act of generosity. Donating blood is a simple process that can make a profound difference. A single donation can help multiple patients undergoing surgery, battling illness, or facing accidents. We must Donate Blood to save others Life. Through Blood Donation, we can help various needy people and save their precious Life, we appeal everyone to be a part of this Noble Cause as blood donation is a worthy cause , as it can save lives and make a d

The World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year on June 14 to thank the selflessness of voluntary blood donors and celebrate life and humanity.

Today (05/06/2024) World Environment Day 2024 A special Awareness Program was held at Townhall Kulgam By Municipal Council Kulgam in Collaboration with The Noble Helping Hands NGO, Schools and Government departments to raise awareness about environmental causes and involve local people to tackle plastic pollution and take action to protect the environment for healthy life. The day raises awareness, mobilises action, and promotes environmental sustainability.
Worthy Deputy Commissioner Kulgam was chief Guest of the said event, ADDC Kulgam other District Officers and School students participates in the said event.
Chief Guest of the event highlights importance of Environment and how to make our surroundings neat clean and pollution free.

Every year on June 5, World Environment Day is observed across the globe to reinforce and sustain awareness around environmental action. Together, we can make a difference by adopting sustainable habits, conserving resources, and promoting eco-friendly practices. Whether it's planting trees, reducing waste, or supporting renewable energy, every small step counts.

Today on 9 April 2024 *The Noble Helping Hands NGO Bugam Kulgam Chairman Mutahir Khanday and Vice Chairman Advocate Abdul Rouf along With Secretary, Joint Secretary and Volunteers provide helping hand to needy this Eid and *distributed food kits among the needy in view of the upcoming Eid.*

The packets, named as "Eid Food Kits" contain special products to be used on festival like bakery and other things, besides essential commodities.

We packed same quality of food grains for our needy people in packets what we eat ourselves at home,

The Food Kits have been distributed among needy families already identified and Registered with The Noble Helping Hands.

Our effort is that every Poor and Needy families should celebrate and enjoy this festival with a lot of Food and other essentials , we are helping people on two lines – food and other essential items for Eid ,
It is an initiative in which our aim is that no family or individual sleeps with empty stomach this Eid .

*The Noble Helping Hands NGO Kulgam Saves Injured Accident Victim, Calls for Action Against Reckless Minors*


Chawalgam, Kulgam, October 28, 2023: A road accident in the Chawalgam area of Kulgam at around 1:15pm today left a civilian severely injured after being hit by a minor bike rider. Shockingly, no immediate assistance was rendered by any bystanders or the young rider. *In a stroke of fortunate timing, Chairman of The Noble Helping Hands Bugam Kulgam, Mutahir Yaqoob Khanday, happened to pass by the site.* Upon discovering the accident, he promptly notified the Kulgam police, ensuring the injured victim was swiftly transported to the district hospital by The Chairman of The Noble Helping Hands NGO in his personal vehicle along with Two Volunteers namely Mohd Iqbal Bhat and Aqib Hameed ,and saving their life. The victim was subsequently referred to SKIMS Soura for further medical attention.

*Speaking to the press, Chairman Mutahir Yaqoob Khanday emphasized the urgent need for a concerted effort by the police authorities, specifically the SSP, SP, DYSP, and concerned Traffic Police Authority, to apprehend reckless minor bike riders.* He stressed the critical importance of curbing such incidents to create a safer environment for society and school-going children. The plea for stricter measures aims to prevent further tragedies and ensure the well-being of the community
