A preview (from the top view) of something I am working on as a memorial to Jade. Those are her real eggs. I have emptied the yolk, washed, dried, and filled it with baking soda to keep its form and prevent bacteria. I then top coated it in (clear) glue to seal it, sanded it slightly to make sure it is rough and now it is a part of the resin base I am making. For someone who has never done any resin art before...I think it looks pretty good considering. She was a water dragon, so I felt it was important to have water (colored resin) and dirt (iron oxide) to look more natural.

I haven't forgotten any of you! I am just getting back to normal after losing Jade and also a long time traveling. To keep you updated: The cats are doing great! We appear to be on the right track now with their food and medicine.

I am currently enhancing both of my reptile enclosures, and will be looking ti get a new Chinese water dragon and also a Bearded dragon for the first time. I believe I will start a new channel for my reptiles, so that you can watch only what you care about per channel ❤️

We said goodbye to Jade 🐉💚

Today, I want to share some heartbreaking news with you. Our sweet Chinese Water Dragon, Jade, has passed away.

Over the past weeks, Jade fought bravely as her body worked so hard to lay her eggs. Despite every effort from her, from us, and from her vets, it became clear that she was in pain and that her body was too fragile to continue. At the end, she was struggling to pass anything else, and we were faced with the most difficult decision any pet parent can make.

Letting her go peacefully was the kindest choice — even though it broke our hearts.

Jade was so much more than just a reptile in our home. She was curious, feisty, endlessly fascinating, and a beautiful soul who brought us closer to the wild world inside our walls. Watching her climb, swim, bask, and just be herself was a gift. She will always be remembered, loved, and missed deeply.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Jade’s journey, whether through livestreams, comments, or quiet support. It means the world to know that she touched not only our lives but also yours.

Rest peacefully, Jade. You will always be a part of this family. 💚🌿🐉

LATEST JADE UPDATE: Jade isn't doing as well as I hoped after her last vet visit. She has been more lethargic and darker in color. She did appear to have contractions last night, but when I felt her belly today, I found a horizontal egg near her opening. She could still turn it on her own, but I think she is getting very tired and losing sleep. We need all your thoughts and I still hope for the best. I will be calling the vet again tomorrow.

We have another egg!!! One month later and she is half way through her entire clutch. Four to go. I haven't been able to livestream because after I upgraded my camera software, my computer is running into memory leaks or crashes.

THIS egg was laid as I was holding her to feed her. I had touched my finger near her leg and she had two contractions. It looks even bigger than the last one.

One of six remaining eggs was laid last night while we were all sleeping! This is the first egg in a couple weeks. If I see any more coming during the day today, I will turn on the livestream.

Small, yet significant Jade update:

I spent till midnight preparing a temporary reptile enclosure out of my previous 189 gallon salt tank to quickly provide her better heat source overnight and during the day. It doesn't have everything it needs yet , I am having to manually mist it to keep humidity up. But it has the most important bits, and I moved her over last night.

Her previous enclosure was expecting her to climb up for heat, and the lower area was her shade and cool area. Given that she used to climb up for the nighttime heat temperatures before bed and hasn't been able to, I knew I needed to make a quick change.

Since last night, she has been laying in an area that was 75 degrees (a little warmer than normal nighttime Temps, but knew she needed it).

Today, I found her at the top of one of the small rock climbing items I put in rather than soaking in the water. She is seeking the heat... and ...she even struggled more when I went to give her the pain meds.

I don't know what will happen, but I hope the extra heat may convince her to lay soon on her own while I seek other opinions.

I am at a loss for words. I have just talked with the vet once again, and they are now suggesting Jade is a complicated case, and they aren't sure how to proceed with surgery.

I feel sick to my stomach. They have now suggested coming in tomorrow for more supportive care and injections and on Tuesday to do a CT scan to prepare for potential surgery. They also suggested based on her age to consider her quality of life. 😭

I don't know what to do.
