What freedom are we celebrating this Independence Day? Women are still far from being truly free. When something goes wrong, itās always their faultāwhether itās their clothes, where they go, or how they live. The same old mindset still shackles us.
Men arenāt held accountable, even when the real issue is their thoughts and actions. Women arenāt safeāat work, in public, or even in their own homes. When a doctor is brutally raped and murdered in a hospital, we need to ask: what freedom are we really talking about?
As a woman and a mother to a daughter, this shakes me to the core. How do we protect our daughters? Where do we find true freedom for them?
