Upcoming Young Adults Retreats (ages 19-35):
10–14 October
7–11 November
(All other retreats at the Centre are open to all ages.)

Young Adults Retreats at The Krishnamurti Centre are events of inquiry and exploration dedicated to those aged 19 to 35 interested in coming together to look at fundamental questions of life. It is an invitation for participants to discover a new way of living. With silence, nature and dialogue at the core of the retreats, guests sustain an inquiry into issues of everyday life that concern and connect us all. Topics covered touch on fundamental aspects of Krishnamurti’s teachings, themes that resonate deeply across generations, such as love, loneliness, freedom, society and meditation.

To make these retreats more accessible, we’re offering reduced-rate rooms starting at £40 per night – these are limited in number, so act quickly.

We also have limited volunteering spaces for those who wish to stay longer than the duration of the retreat. Please visit our volunteer programme page for more information.

kfoundation.org/appeal • Krishnamurti Foundation Trust is a non-profit charitable organisation; once a year, we ask for your support through our Annual Appeal.

Understanding the global impact of new technologies is an increasing challenge for us today. The ever-accelerating pace of computer use, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence, makes this challenge even more critical. Questions concerning how we, as human beings, honestly meet these technologies were foreseen almost half a century ago by Krishnamurti.

At Brockwood Park, we endeavour to uphold, in the schools, Centre and Foundation, a deep and ongoing consideration of such technological impact, not least in maintaining the integrity of the teachings and making them widely, non-interpretatively, available to all.

If you feel that Krishnamurti has had an impact on your life, now is the time to help support and enable the activities and structures that he set in motion, especially as we currently have a generous offer to match all donations to this annual appeal (up to £100,000).

It takes considerable funds to run all that happens at Brockwood, and your donation no matter how small or large, will make a difference. Thank you.

‘What becomes of you when what you think, what you feel, what you have – all that thought – the machine can do? Do you understand the seriousness of this? We have to meet a tremendous crisis… you have to face this. If you are inclined to be entertained for the rest of your life, then what happens to your brain? It will either wither, slowly decay because the computer is doing everything that thought can do, or you turn and look at the psychological structure of yourself. That psychological structure is consciousness.’ —Krishnamurti in Bombay, 1981

There are only 4 places left to join the Krishnamurti Summer Gathering this August 14-19. Learn more and book your place at krishnamurticentre.org.uk/gathering

For the second year running, the 2024 Krishnamurti Summer Gathering was fully booked. More than 100 people came to Brockwood Park in August to spend five days on retreat. Together, they explored the fundamental questions of life, listened to Krishnamurti and inquired into what he was conveying to us. The atmosphere was one of seriousness, friendship and openness, making it conducive to discussions and explorations of our shared psychological challenges.
