Wanted to make a video on Ronin moving to an ETH L2 but had some recording issues. Wondering is its still of interest?

An EVM-compatible chain like Ronin (now) is really a sidechain: it’s compatible with Ethereum but runs independently, with its own security



An Ethereum Layer 2 is a rollup or similar scaling solution that directly plugs into Ethereum’s consensus, borrowing its security



Currently to keep validators honest and encourage them to run infrastructure: Ronin mints new $RON tokens (inflation) and distributes them as staking rewards



When Ronin becomes an Ethereum L2, Ethereum itself secures the chain. This means Ronin doesn’t need to pay validators as much for “security.” Instead of giving inflationary RON rewards to validators, those emissions are redirected to builders and contributors



Sequencers and validators typically dump their rewards since they only need to cover operating costs, creating constant sell pressure on $RON. Builders, however, are ecosystem-aligned and more likely to hold or reinvest their RON rewards



Combined with Ethereum-backed security, the bigger implication is that this in turn grows the ecosystem and increases the natural demand for RON via gas fees from more adoption in the long run



However, in the short term passive staking yields should shrink. That means current stakers could exit and sell RON resulting in short-term sell pressure

Thanks everyone for the comments. On the latest Video, I definitely got a few things wrong about STEPN. The earning is not that high unless you have multiple sneakers, which means the ROI is lower.
And the GPS system helps stopping people from cheating.
I am sure there is more as well. My overall opinion is unaffected though. I think getting in late here is too big a risk.

Hey everyone,
I haven't been able to make any DeFi Kingdoms content lately, but CrystalVale Launches tomorrow. There isn't much to prepare if you are already playing on the harmony chain. You will be able to send your jewel and xjewel with ease to the new map on the Avax subnet from Serendale. This is just my reminder to everyone! DeFi kingdoms is still a game I really believe in, I will have more content eventually, but there is a lot of great resources out there already.
