There's nothing in the world that fills me up more than being able to see OTHERS do what they LOVE, build INCREDIBLE things, while being in ENVIRONMENTS that fill them up.
This year on this channel you can expect MORE VIDEOS on books, personal growth, tools that helping me, and monthly summaries on the places I've traveled to with a COST BREAKDOWN because on this channel, while we are focusing on building & scaling business:
growing a business doesnโt mean you have to work all the time it also doesnโt mean you have to hire tons of people or that you have to follow what everyone else is doing
in 2021 for the first time I promised myself I would only focus on 1 big project and thatโs exactly what I did
funny thing - when you focus on one thing, it grows. even while working less even while not having a big team even while traveling
if you do one thing and go all in, on that offer, on that platform, on that idea - the scaling up will happen
What helped me the most was: โจ only offering 1 service ๐ฑ only focusing on YouTube ๐งฉ knowing who I was speaking to ๐ก having fun & not tying myself to a result
I scaled my business and learned A LOT by going all in on 1 thing and Iโll be sharing a little more about that these next few weeks thru IG stories! @thelauragomez
2 years ago when I recorded my first YouTube video, I only did it thinking I was going to attract more brands to our agency. That's the truth.
And that might also be why YOU started creating content. However, after doing it for a couple weeks (and seeing the traction I was gaining) I started loving it!
I wanted to talk about more things besides selling through Instagram and building online Ecommerce stores - so that's what I did ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
I wasn't thinking about doing UGC or brand deals, I just focused on putting out as many YouTube videos as possible those first 3 months.
AND GUESS WHAT... I hadn't even realized that after creating for 2 years, my income streams had basically TRIPLED. ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
Most people think "it's just a post" or "it's just a cute YouTube channel" when the reality is, content opens up SO MANY DOORS.
Besides the agency, I now have 6 more income streams - and I ranked them from biggest to smallest inside this video! ๐๐ https://youtu.be/mo5GEG0tITE
It can be confusing at first when a brand seems interested but then says that the only way to compensate you for your video is by sending you a free product ๐ฌ
So how do you say no to a brand and when is it the right time to say no?
IT'S OKAY to say no to a brand when:
The brand doesn't align with you You normally wouldn't ever buy that product The brand doesn't align with your values The brand can't cover the costs for the time it takes to film, edit, and produce a video The product isn't something you want to vouch for You wouldn't want to be seen as the face of that product/brand The communication with the brand feels off Your intuition says it's not right You want to save time to work with other brands You have too much on your plate
