Hi!
I know it's been a while since we all chatted:)

First things first, all 9 of the animals are doing great! My most recent "Meet my pets" shows all my animals and their cages. In terms of creating animal content, I am in my junior year of college and as a double major, it has been beyond exhausting. I have had a hard time finding the passion (or motivation?) to create pet content.

Currently, my channel has been an expansion of my TikTok and I have just been reposting my most viral content (which is usually hair). I understand that the channel was initially branded about animals and pettube, and this may seem like a sudden shift. I know many of you miss seeing the animals and don't enjoy the new content.

I will definitely be making an update on my animals, but unfortunately, I cannot promise consistent uploads, especially once the semester starts. Youtube and social media were never a goal or career I saw for myself, it's always been a passion project. I do want to continue to use my platform to advocate for animal rights and spread awareness about proper animal care, however, I don't want to continue making videos at the cost of my mental health or happiness.

I hope everyone can understand! Please keep an eye out for an upcoming animal video! I know some of you have suggested starting a completely new channel for my hair and beauty content. I have considered it, currently, this is just most convenient for me, this is my normal youtube account, haha, but I can definitely look into making a new one.

This is also a great place to just find more small youtubers to support and hopefully a shoutout from my channel can help you grow! As I’ve always said there is more than enough love in the pet community for all of us :)

My Pawfect Family

Hey y’all! I’m still trying to get a video out about my new hedgehog, but thought I’d answer a couple questions on here for those of you that were dying to know:)

1. When and how did you get him?
I got him May 17 2021. He was listed on a local rehoming site:)

2. What’s his care like?
Still trying to learn about hedgehogs and their care! He is currently in a wire cage which is around 5 sqft. I have plans to upgrade him into a Bioactive set up. For heating, he has a ceramic heat emitter. His bedding is currently half kiln dried pine pellets and the other half is fleece. His cage is quite simplistic, I’m still learning what hedgehogs like. He currently has 2 hides, a 12 inch bucket wheel, water bowls, water bottle and a good bowl. His diet is transitioning from a Rachel Ray kibble to the Spikes ultra brand. I’ve also heard mixed reviews of the spikes, so I will be buying a few more high quality cat foods and creating a mix! He also gets live mealworms

3. What about his personality?
He’s my first hedgehog, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. He’s a little huffy when first woken up but calms down super quickly. He is very social once he’s awake and tolerant of handling. He is also pretty clean as far as a hedgehog goes:)

4. Knkw anything about his coloring?
Since he was a rehome, I don’t know exactly, but I think he would be considered a blaze? However I think a lot of those terms are outdated since I rarely see breeders actually using them:)

5. Hedgehog care videos?
Will be happy to share my own care and experiences! But currently I don’t have enough experience to tell others what to do. If y’all have any tips for me, please let me know!!

Filming my “ranking popular pettubers” video tomorrow! I’ve narrowed it down to 16 people. How long would you want the video to be? Would you want me to be very brief in my rankings and have a shorter video? Or me go more in-depth and have it be longer?
