This evening was on the first day we got up to NYC. While everyone else was hanging out and skating I was calling my credit card company to get a refund on a hotel that I originally booked for the weekend. When we showed up I couldn’t get into the lobby because a security guard stopped me. He told me I didn’t have a reservation anymore and I was very confused. Another guy who apparently booked the same hotel came out swearing and told me that the hotel was converted to a homeless shelter, but didn’t let anyone who had reservations know. So we had to quickly find something else. After about 45 minutes on the phone, and the credit card company going back and forth with the hotel to verify what I just told them, I finally got the refund. I don’t think they really believed me when I told them what happened, but worked out in the end.
Also shoutout to the front desk guy at Feather Factory for hooking us up with the biggest discount rate he could give us and including the breakfast pass for free. You a real one 🤝

Was in NYC last weekend with some of the crew from @anchorskatesupply727. I recently sold all my Sony gear on eBay and am now using a Nikon D610. This was the first time I was able to use it because besides a fisheye that I was able to get with the body, I don’t have any lenses. These are all shot on a 50mm f1.8 I borrowed from a friend. What do you think of them?
