This idea has really been growing on me, so I just want to share it with you guys.
”A Life Never Lived” | Beelzebub vs Seongjun Lee (Record of Ragnarok vs The Warrior Returns/Hero Has Returned)
Connections:
- Two antagonistic characters who have been blessed/cursed by higher entities (Beelzebub was cursed to be the vessel of Satan and to kill anyone who he grows a bond with/ Lee was blessed with the ability to come back to life to a set point in time upon his death, however the world is stuck in a never ending loop upon his permanent death.)
- Both grew to hate themselves and wanted to die to end their suffering/guilt (Beelzebub wants to atone for killing his friends and the woman that he killed in their pursuit to find and kill satan/Lee wants to stop the endless resurrection, just so humanity isn’t at a standstill without knowing it.)
- Both manipulated the events of the life of a character to hopefully ensure their deaths (Beelzebub turned Zerofuku into an entity of despair instead of one of luck, by dealing Hajun inside of him/ Lee took everything that kept Minsu Kim grounded and kept him sane. Making the warrior fall deeper into despair in the hopes of turning Kim into a demon lord.)
- The two are kind hearted souls who wanted to live out a normal and peaceful life alongside the people they called friends and the one that they loved dearly. However, due to their curses they could never live that life they so dreamed of.
- Both are strategic masterminds, who planned many events of the story they’re involved in
- Both of them just want to die regardless of how it’s done, but every attempt they’ve done failed due to the intervention of their curse
Made a TN for Wiz vs Boomstick. I am holding out hope for Death Battle to continue just like many others in the community. Not gonna doom post or anything, just hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
Wish I could make a trailer for this but senior year is kind of jarring to get used to. Especially with an AP class, however that won’t stop me from making something to show my support for Scorpion vs Wolf. Wish I could vote tho but eh, vote for this MU if you want idc.
Ok, so quick thoughts on Vader vs Obito. I enjoyed the episode overall, there are somethings I would change and wish was explained better. While at first I was pretty underwhelmed and disappointed in the episode, but after some rewatches I love the episode.
Vader’s analysis was great going in depth to Vader’s character and touched up on his lore and ending. While there were some memes in it I enjoyed myself through it after a second watch. Obito’s was great as well, went into his character and his abilities as well and there were some good jokes here and there.
The fight itself was stellar, the banter and choreography were amazing… wish I could say the same thing about the death. I’m not a big fan of how Vader died, it kinda goes against Vader’s character. But the emotional ending was good, wish Vader broke out and did one last struggle and then got hit but eh.
And the conclusion. This is my biggest issue with the episode. It’s kinda like a Ben Hal situation where the verdict isn’t explained as well as I hoped it would. The reasoning for Obito’s win can be argued against heavily like the fact Vader has broken out of illusions way worse than the infinite Tsukuyomi.
For the next time itself I’m not a big fan of it. So I don’t care really I’m probably gonna be bored throughout.
