3 years ago, as part of our theme "Power Within Me" - children explored what Power means to them.

Now, in times of the world in conflict, we bring back the adaptation of 'The Lord of The Rings', as a tribute to all the people harmed by these conflicts around the world today. A call to our human, to find The Power in our humanity.

Sparkling Mindz

The smiles say it all. This is the harvest from our very own organic farm. "This is the best day of my life and I will never forget it!" said a child holding a bunch of the palak in hands!

It has been a journey for our children of mission TRUI and SMP (missions that stand for climate change and healthy alternatives to junk food) of the last 6 months when they started this work along with Indian Farm School on growing our own vegetables.

They started right from learning about what a farm is, making beds of a certain height, understanding different kinds of seeds, sowing them, tending to the saplings, deweeding, & watering every day!

Whether morning or noon, sunny or cloudy, the children would go religiously to water them, and deweed everyday.

There were moments of excitement when they sowed the seeds and first shoots came out and there were moments of disappointments when it kept raining and they couldn't sow the seeds, weeds kept coming stronger again and again.

There were wonders that they sought answers to, such as why the vegetables have pest attacks and not the weeds, why weeds are growing more than the vegetables, what will happen if we water more, why some of the plants have yellow leaves even if we water properly...

Isn't this the pathway towards learning? Observations and questioning to understand the growth of the plants is enabling them to not just learn about them, but to build the connection with the earth and figure out their path to find their purpose in life. Not just that, but to learn the journey of the food on their plates.
