🇷🇺 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS IN RUSSIA @Russiatamilan
Friends, please note that effective September 1, 2026, the medical examination procedure for foreign citizens arriving in Russia will undergo significant changes.
🩺 New Medical Examination Rules
1️⃣ Medical examination deadline reduced
The mandatory period for completing the medical examination will be reduced from 90 days to 30 days from the date of entry into Russia.
This applies to foreign citizens arriving in Russia for a period of more than 90 days.
• Those already residing in Russia will be required to undergo a medical examination annually.
• The cost of the medical examination must be paid by the foreign citizen or their employer.
2️⃣ Only authorized medical organizations
Medical examinations can only be conducted by government-authorized medical organizations.
• Intermediaries will be eliminated from the system.
• Clinics must upload examination results to the unified healthcare information system and transmit the information to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD).
• The transition from paper documents to electronic records aims to prevent document forgery.
3️⃣ Detection of infectious diseases or drug use
If certain infectious diseases are detected during the medical examination, the medical organization will immediately notify Rospotrebnadzor for further action under the applicable migration procedures.
The listed conditions include:
• HIV
• Tuberculosis
• Leprosy
• Syphilis
• Detection of drug use
According to the information provided, Rospotrebnadzor reviewed the prevalence of these diseases among foreign citizens arriving in Russia. The reported proportion varies by disease and is stated to be 1.5 to 15 times higher compared with Russian citizens for certain illnesses.
4️⃣ Stricter penalties for violations ⚠️
Penalties for violating medical examination procedures and issuing or using false medical documents will be significantly increased.
• The fine for evading a mandatory medical examination may increase from 2,000–4,000 rubles to 25,000–50,000 rubles.
• Failure to pay the fine on time may result in an additional fine and possible deportation under the applicable procedure.
• Forgery, sale, circulation, or use of counterfeit medical certificates may result in criminal liability, with penalties of up to 8 years of imprisonment, depending on the severity of the offense.
🏥 Penalties for medical professionals and clinics
Medical professionals who violate the established regulations may face fines of 100,000–200,000 rubles.
Medical organizations may face:
• Fines from 300,000 to 1 million rubles, or
• Administrative suspension of activities for 14 to 90 days.
⚖️ Penalties depend on the severity of the offense
Those involved in organizing or purchasing forged medical certificates may face imprisonment:
• Up to 4 years for certain offenses
• Up to 6 years when committed by an organized group
• Up to 8 years if the forgery results in serious consequences, including infection or death
📌 Important: Foreign citizens planning to study, work, or stay in Russia for a long period should pay close attention to these new requirements and ensure that all medical procedures are completed through officially authorized organizations.
Please share this information with friends, students, and workers who may be affected by these changes.

🇷🇺 Russia Immigration Update | HQS Status @Russiatamilan
The closer we get to the entry into force of the law (March 1, 2027) increasing the monthly salary requirement for Highly Qualified Specialists to 717,000 Rubles, the more options we are finding together with foreign employees to change and legalize their status. 📅💼
For example, this applies to those who:
1️⃣ Already have HQS status + a permanent residence permit
📌 If you have lived with this type of permanent residence permit for 2 years or more, you have the right to obtain an unlimited permanent residence permit.
✅ It will no longer be tied to your HQS work permit.
❌ No requirement to submit an SVO military service contract to the MIA.
2️⃣ Founder / Investor of a Russian legal entity 💼🇷🇺
Foreigners who meet the required conditions regarding the company's operating period and taxes paid may be eligible to obtain a permanent residence permit.
✅ No requirement to submit an SVO military service contract to the MIA.
3️⃣ Citizen of South Korea 🇰🇷 or France 🇫🇷
If you work for a Korean or French company in Russia, a simplified work permit procedure may be available without regard to quotas.
4️⃣ Citizens of certain countries sharing Russia's cultural and moral values 🌍
A simplified procedure for obtaining a TRP may be available in certain circumstances.
⚠️ Important
As we can see, there are several options for legalizing your status in Russia even if you lose your HQS status.
⏳ But don't wait until 2027.
If you may qualify for another legal status, it is worth considering the change before March 1, 2027, when the new HQS salary requirement comes into force. 🇷🇺📄

Dear Friends! 👋🇷🇺
📅 Starting February 1, 2027, foreign citizens holding a temporary residence permit (TRP) in Russia under Presidential Decree No. 702 (citizens of countries implementing destructive policies but who share our cultural and moral values) will be able to reapply for a temporary residence permit in Russia under this Presidential Decree No. 702.
🌟However, this can be done not earlier than six months and no later than four months before the expiration of the current temporary residence permit!!!
🌟This is very important and useful information for those foreigners who, after three years of residence in Russia, wish to continue living in Russia. This provision is very important, as currently, a permanent residence permit in Russia can only be obtained by presenting a contract of service in the Special Military operation to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (for male foreign citizens)!
🌟Therefore, foreigners who have obtained a temporary residence permit under Decree 702 are guaranteed temporary residence in Russia for a total of six years!
🌟It is also important that foreign citizens can reapply for a temporary residence permit under Decree 702 without leaving Russia, and in advance!

What tree is the most common in Russia? @Russiatamilan
Do you think it's the birch tree? Or maybe the spruce? Pine? Well, you'll be surprised to learn that it's… larch!
They make up as much as 40 percent of the taiga and all of Russia's forests.
Here are a few interesting facts about the larch:
👉It belongs to the pine family, but has soft needles. It sheds its needles in winter – which is why, in Russian, it's known as ‘лиственница’ (from ‘листва’ – foliage), because it behaves like a deciduous tree.
👉It can live up to 400 years! It has an incredibly strong trunk, which is also widely used in construction.
👉It grows very quickly and is highly frost-resistant. In fact, it can comfortably withstand extremely low temperatures!
