What Is an Russian Employment Contract? ‪@Russiatamilan‬

An employment contract is a written agreement between an employee and an employer. It sets out the working conditions and responsibilities of both sides. With this document, foreign citizens can legally work in Russia under a work permit (patent) and extend their migration registration.

❓ What an employment contract must include

— Date of signing
— Place of work
— Job title
— Working schedule and vacation days
— Salary and payment terms

❓ Types of employment contracts

— Indefinite (permanent) — the most common type, which only specifies the start date of work.
— Fixed‑term — valid for up to five years, used in specific cases. For example, to cover an employee on maternity leave or for seasonal work.

❓ Documents required to sign a contract

— Passport with a notarized translation
— Migration card
— Address confirmation (registration notice)
— Green Card
— Diploma
— INN
— SNILS
— Employment record book

If you don’t have a Russian employment record book, your employer will provide one.

❓ How to terminate an employment contract

— At the employee’s request. Submit a written resignation notice to your employer at least two weeks before your last working day.
— By mutual agreement. The employee and employer can agree to end the contract at any time.
— At the employer’s initiative. If an employee fails to perform duties or is repeatedly absent without reason, the employer can terminate the contract unilaterally.
— In all cases, unused vacation days must be compensated.

📍 For temporary work, foreigners can also sign a civil contract (GPKh) instead of an employment contract.

Foreign students are invited to Russia FOR FREE to attend the ‘Winter University for Engineering Sciences’.

You can apply for participation in a free educational intensive course on technological specialties until September 30.

From November 24 to December 7, 2025, an international project in the field of technology will take place in Russia, titled ‘the Winter University of Engineering Sciences’.

Students will undergo intensive training and engage in project activities in international teams, where they will solve real engineering problems.
Senior undergraduate students are invited to participate.

Classes will be held in Russian and English in three areas at three leading universities in the country:
1) At St. Petersburg State University - AI and digital technologies
2) At Novgorod State University - electronics, radio engineering and communication systems
3) At the S.P. Korolev Samara University - integrated technologies in the creation of aerospace equipment

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On July 1, in Kaliningrad, the Russian side handed over the frigate Tamal built by the United Shipbuilding Corporation to the Indian Navy ‪@Russiatamilan‬

The solemn ceremony of commissioning of INS Tamal, 8th Project 11356 frigate, into the Indian Navy was graced with the presence of VAdm Sanjay Jasjit Singh, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.

"The frigate Tamal is a model of Russian-Indian technology cooperation. It incorporates more than 20 Indian-made ship systems, including the BrahMos supersonic missile system, an automated communications system, a surface search and target acquisition radar, and a sonar station," - noted Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.

Currently India is already operating 7 Project 11356 frigates. In December 2024, a commissioning ceremony for the frigate Tushil took place in Kaliningrad. India’s Goa Shipyard Limited launched the ninth and tenth frigates of this project, which are being built by Indian shipbuilders with the assistance of Rosoboronexport.
