A 63’ Lamborghini multimillion yacht partially sank off of Monument Island in Miami yesterday, prompting a U.S. Coast Guard rescue of 32 people. No injuries were reported.
This incident is a reminder that boating safety isn’t just about what happens above deck it’s about what’s happening below the surface.
The cause is unknown and the investigation is currently underway by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission.
In today’s yachting culture of luxury and lifestyle, we cannot afford to overlook the basics. Safety is not optional. Preventative care is not a luxury. It’s the responsibility of every from the owner, captain, and crew.
