As per the IMD & RM Guwahati, a very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in different parts of Dima Hasao in the next 10 days, which might cause natural disaster. All the public of Dima Hasao and HoD's of Various Govt. Departments are requested to be on Alert by the DDMA.
Also requested to avoid landslide prone areas, traveling during heavy rain and take all the safety measures for self and family ...

Located along the border of Dima Hasao district, just about a distance of 46 km from Haflong, a tourist attraction is Harangajao. Harangajao is a popular Dimasa word, meaning slope of red soil. Earlier this place was known as a centre of culture and traditions of Dima Hasao.

Diphu, the headquarter of Karbi Anglong District, in the state of Assam, India. A small picturesque town, which is a popular tourist snd picnic spot for people from nearby regions. Once you are in Diphu lots of things in and around to attract tourists.

In the year 1895, Haflong was made the Headquarters by the British. British Schools were also set up in the year 1911 and then finally in the year 1947 Haflong was made a part of Assam.
