Yes, I’m a stay-at-home mom and no, I’m not “wasting my potential, my life or career path”. For some people it’s shocking that being a stay at home mom is a life I wanted and choose to live for myself.

I happen to be a person who enjoys being a stay at home mom. I don’t just enjoy it, I LOVE it.

I enjoy creating different meals multiple times a day for my family. I enjoy going grocery shopping with my kids during the day. I enjoy sharing my morning tea with my toddler.

I seriously couldn’t be happier, as being a stay at home mom is everything and more to me.

It’s okay if you don’t understand how I could possibly enjoy this lifestyle. It’s okay if you don’t understand how I could possibly not want a 9-5 career.

At the end of my day, all that matters is my happiness, and staying at home raising my babies creates my happiness.

So no, I don’t need a “real job” to feel fulfilled. This is real. This is work. This is purpose, this lifestyle is something I was made for. It’s been something I have craved since before having children.

My babies remind me every day just how valuable I am.
