SPEAKER [for the trees]

Here, I share truths I’ve learned through my own trauma but through a mystical lens. I NEVER speak on what I haven’t personally lived through and worked to heal.Trauma-informed therapy helped me understand the role i played in my own suffering. But therapy only took me so far.
I was still bleeding. Still triggered. Still stuck.
Exploring my ancestral lineage changed everything. I realized the patterns I carried my whole life didn’t start with me. Once I understood where they came from? A literal quantum leap.
So if you found your way here, maybe it was guided.

SPEAKER [for the trees]

The same life force that runs through us also courses through every tree, every river and every human being. 🌿✨ Economic status, family dynamics, education—none of it changes the fact that at our core, we are all interconnected. What matters is how we honor that connection: by treating one another with respect, listening with openness, and standing up for what we know in our hearts to be true, fair, and right. We can share our perspectives and beliefs with civility, respect, courage.and without tearing others down.

All throughout history, every race has endured trials, oppression, and slavery. Across generations, people have suffered under war, captivity, and inequality. It is extremely unfair to claim your cause without first acknowledging the suffering others have faced as well....especially when its the same kind of suffering. In this case im talking about slavery.

Understanding the broader context of human struggle brings clarity and compassion.
The chart I shared highlights the global history of slavery: white Europeans, Africans, Indigenous peoples, and others—all touched by injustice. Numbers and regions differ, but the message is the same: suffering is universal, and empathy should be too. Did you know that the English word “slave” comes from the Medieval Latin “sclavus,” which itself comes from the Byzantine/Medieval Greek “σκλάβος” (sklábos). This term referred to Slavic people from Eastern Europe, because during the early Middle Ages, many Slavs were captured and sold into slavery, especially by the Vikings, the Byzantines, and later by Mediterranean and Islamic traders.

So over time, the word for a specific ethnic group became the general term for a person in bondage. That’s why in English (and many other European languages), “slave” literally preserves a trace of that historical fact: the name of a people who were disproportionately enslaved. Slavery didn't start with Africans, Egyptians, or any Indigenous tribe. It actually started with the Slavic people of Easteen European descent. Yet all we ever hear about are other cultures and people's who were sold into slavery not realizing.... We are all the same and have all faced the same painful truths. Why insist on further division? We are all the same. We all bleed....we all breathe and we all have the ability to forgive amd lay down our swords. Isn't that easier? To have peace and not rage?

Just as the veins of trees mirror our lungs, the ripples of a bruise reflect the stars, and the rings of a tree echo the lines on our skin, we are all woven from the same fabric of life. 🌌💫 Animals and nature are.no different from us. When we are able to recognize our shared journey and our shared resiliencewe we could find the power to lift one another up and implement really BIG change.

Let every act of understanding, every gesture of respect, be a reminder that the same life force flows through all of us—and that together, we can grow, heal, and shine brighter than we ever could alone.

Something I’ve been doing that’s really helped me on my healing path is a simple end-of-day check-in with myself. When the day winds down, I gently walk back through everything from the moment I woke up to where I am now. I don’t judge it. I just notice. How did I move through things? How did my body feel? Did I give my emotions enough space to breathe, or did I rush past something that wanted my attention? Did I give my children space to speak? Did I enjoy them to the fullest?
For a long time, I taught myself to push uncomfortable feelings down just so I could keep going. It became a second nature. Survive first, feel later. But feelings don’t disappear, they wait, they linger and they eventually explode not just on you but the ones you love most. And one day I realized something ..... something that should’ve shaken me to my core… didn’t. I wasn't upset at all amd i should have been. I should have shown at least a little bit of concern but felt absolutely nothing. That numbness ? Scared me more than the pain ever did. It showed me I had drifted away from my own human instincts. That moment cracked me open wider than I've ever been.
Now I make space every night to gather back the pieces of myself. I sit with whatever is still lingering, acknowledge it, thank it, and let it move through. Nothing gets buried anymore.
If you’re in a season of healing or remembering who you are, I invite you to try this with me. Over time, you start to see your growth. Not in big dramatic ways, but in the quiet littleshifts. And those are the ones that change everything 🌙
