If you didn't know, my game, Survive in Area 51 has been officially ended since 12/12/2022; and there will be no more content updates for SIA51. However, there will be patches & fixes in order to keep it playable, after 06/11/2024, whenever my military service ends; the first patch will be removing the winter theme that has been in the whole game for too long.
Q. Where have you been?
A. I've been in mandatory military service, for 548 days. No I never wanted it. It's mandatory in my country.
Q. But you've been uploading several youtube videos.
A. Yes, but only during vacations. Also, as a soldier it is illegal to work on anything that makes profit (In this case, Survive in Area 51.) and this should explain why the final update was done right before 12/12/2022.
Q. Will you update Survive in Area 51?
A. As mentioned right above, half yes and no. Content updates, No. Patches, Yes. I won't be able to focus on it like before, as I have another game to work on.
Q. Why no more updates for Survive in Area 51, it still has players?!
A. I know; even right now I am pretty sure it would easily get over 1k players no matter what I add at this point.
I loved working on it, but now I don't. I won't say it was easy; it was pretty stressful. The more I work on the game to satisfact the most of the playerbase, the farther the game gets from the creator myself; this is how I'm feeling about the game's current state. I loved Area 51 games. In year 2018 SIA51 was started because of that; I wanted to make my own horror, challenging game where players explore bunch of mysterious places and face real threats. As just a hobby with no success this big expected; it definitely has done much more than it can, and now I want to move onto another game that I've been really wanting to achieve; for SIA51, it has been a nice journey for 4 years.
Q. Will you sell the game / hire another devs?
A. No. This will never happen.
Q. What are your future plans?
A. I will work on a game "Protect The Crystal"; It's not a new game. It's only 1 year younger than SIA51. There actually is a Classic version which already is nearly completed, but I've had the exact same feeling I have with SIA51; PTC seemed to have too many flaws and limitations to achieve something I truly wanted to, so I decided to discard everything in the classic version and recreate it from the scratch with completely different styles. My decisions may seem useless and rather absurd but I'd say its definitely worth trying.
Q. Are you completely abandoning SIA51 Universe? A. No! I still love its universe and lores. I would definitely love making an another game based on it, with much better graphics and gameplay. I've been really enjoying playing Lethal Company with my friends recently, it gave me some amazing memories and fun that I've never felt in last several years while playing games. Making a Area 51 game with a bit of Lethal Company gameplay; where you enter a dark, abandoned facility with monsters roaming around sounds a lot of fun; would love to give it a try in the future.
Im going back! Won't be able to do anything there! See you in 2 weeks! I have 43 days of the service remaining, with alot of vacations planned as well 😄
