finally got to release my 1st Album ‘ikigai’ I made in nyc all by myself, reflecting why I started making music/what I wanted to deliver to human beings in the world. I’ve been making music over 5 years now, but since I’ve started posting on social media from 0 followers and sharing my original songs from last year, I got such beautiful love from my fans, which really encouraged me to make this album.

As an artist who values living by her own axis, she crafted her 1st album after graduating from Waseda University and moving to New York to study at an art school while writing, composing, and designing artwork herself. When we take time, move at our own pace, and continue working toward our goals, the things we once couldn’t do slowly become possible. Built from the emotions experienced along her path and her quiet resistance to the world, this album speaks to what she felt compelled to express through living. “Each achievement becomes a doorway to the next challenge. As long as we stay connected to our inner axis, we can grow countless new branches. And the ‘ikigai’ we find evolves and matures as we continue living.” This idea became the foundation for the album cover: a branching tree formed from each track’s waveform, symbolizing the way our lives grow, diverge, and continue forward.
【Update Announcement♥️】 Hi. I’m changing my artist name from créA jeneva to Kumika Hashimoto.
Since I started making music five years ago and began sharing my original songs last year, I’ve received more love and support than I ever imagined. My stage name créA came from the word “creating,” because I’ve always loved crafting, not only music, but art and design too ＋ also from my personality. I’m the type of person who questions what’s considered common sense or natural, and I believe new perspectives are always needed.
I’ve done everything by myself unlike many artists these days whose careers are carefully managed by big companies, I’ve been doing everything independently from designing my own album covers, booking studios in NYC where I had no friends, learning how to release my songs, to even flying LA to film MVs. I believe that this independence gives my work a completely different kind of value because I’ve gone through the same real-life experiences many of you have, studying for exams, getting jobs, facing uncertainty etc.. and that helps me create something that truly speaks to your/my hearts.
I’m truly grateful that my music reached such amazing people. You’ve made me realize the possibilities of sharing my work with the world.
That’s why I decided to move forward as Kumika Hashimoto, the name I was lovingly given by my parents, and one that feels true to who I am. Because my music is deeply based on my own life and thoughts, I wanted a name that reflects that honesty and connects my Japanese roots with the world.

I do all the steps from song writing to artworks. The title means "you did great today" in Japanese. After moving to New York from Tokyo in 2024 to go to art school, it has been tough time and wanted to make a song that cheers listeners striving like me. ——————————————— Hope you guys enjoy it♬
