This channel was founded in order to explore the unique and interesting lore that sets the stage of the masterful space opera board game, Twilight Imperium: 4th Edition. Codex III has arrived!
Of course, it arrived at the most inopportune time imaginable, but c'est la vie. Regardless, it is finally here, and I'm working on putting together a print guide video for the various components released with it!
In the meantime, I have grabbed high-resolution (we're talking entire megabytes!) files of all the cards, and I figured I'd post them here. That way, if you don't want to wait on me to post the printing guide, you can go ahead and get your order in at MakePlayingCards.com, or another such company. For any of y'all who haven't heard, SCPT had Dane Beltrami (designer of Prophecy of Kings) on their show this week, and they discussed the upcoming Codex III FOR Twilight Imperium. My comparison between the settings of Dune and Twilight Imperium goes up tomorrow! This isn't a versus video, rather it will look at themes and concepts shared by the two space operas. Though as I'm writing this, I'm remembering I forgot to mention the Missionaria Protectiva, so I'll have to re-record that tonight... Still, I will get it out tomorrow, barring anything else unforeseen!
Also, I think my thumbnail art is hilarious, and if you think otherwise, I'm sorry. I guess we can't all be comedic geniuses.

I'm busy working on the Saar script, but I just wanted to post a quick update here concerning something related that script which has bothered me ever since I really dove into TI lore.
The "Middle Factions" (races introduced in 3rd edition, like the Saar, Winnu, and Arborec) really aren't well integrated into the lore, or fleshed out in a meaningful way. The only sources we have on them are their faction sheets, and the occasional action card. Which makes my job particularly difficult, as there is way less to go on for these factions than I'd like. For instance, we know from action cards the Saar and Mentak have some sort of relationship, and are potentially even allies. But that's it. No further details. Please Dane, help me out here!
Honestly, I'd love an upcoming Codex to, instead of focusing on the PoK factions, instead work on better integrating the Naalu, Saar, Winnu, Yin, and Arborec into the setting. The Embers and Ghosts don't really need the same treatment, as they both have been tied into the setting quite well (especially in the Ghost's case). But the other Middle Factions are just sort of...there. Nonetheless, I will do what I can to make a compelling and interesting Faction Explained video about the Saar this week! Nothing can stop me!
In the meantime, I've received some new board games, and I filmed some unboxings, which will go up this week, and I am recording the Warhammer v. Twilight Imperium narration currently (its a long one). So look forward to all that, as well as the promised Dune video, which I just need to get around to filming properly... Howdy y'all! My apologies for not posting as regularly as I should, I got a new job and got engaged, so between planning a wedding and getting used to the 9 to 5 schedule, a lot has fallen through the cracks. Heck, I've only played Twilight Imperium twice all year! :( But, things are calming down now, and I want to get back to regularly posting fun, tabletop content for y'all to enjoy! And on that note, I finished the next TI4 Factions Explained video last night, and it will go live tomorrow at 11am Arizona Time!
Also, I'm looking to get a document camera to make my Tainted Grail series more watchable, so that should recommence soon (fingers crossed for next week)! Plus, the Warhammer v. Twilight Imperium script is finally done (and is so, so long), so I'll be working on recording that ASAP. I have so many ideas for videos, and I'm really excited to bring them to y'all, I just need to find the hours in the day to do so!
