Hello guys, I just want to apologize for my recent inactivity. I just don’t feel motivation anymore and I have been too busy with school and my writing, I haven’t spent much time editing. So I am ending my httyd editing journey here. Thank you to all my supporters! I will miss y’all greatly but this is not a final goodbye 💕👋
I’m getting a lot of mixed opinions on this edit I made yesterday. Please just enjoy the edit and don’t stress about the characters I chose! Everyone has different opinions, and I haven’t seen every movie out there, so let’s just let it rest. ❤️
Chills after reading TBOSAS. You can probably expect 1 or 2 more edits on it, with some httyd mixed in. I’m gonna have a little book talk on it, so feel free to express your opinions in the comments! (Warning: if you have not read TBOSAS yet, spoiler alert)
In the original trilogy, we get the hunger games presented to us from the eye of a tribute. One thing I found pleasingly unique about TBOSAS is how we get a whole new perspective of the hunger games, looking through young Snow’s eyes, a mentor from the capitol. I think it is interesting to see how these mentors, practically children, react to people of their own age get thrown in an arena to fight to the death. While most of them feel entitled, *cough* Arachne Crane *cough*, some of them are slightly disgusted at the horror of the games. Like Sejanus. He was the wild card, bought his way into the capitol but still feels he is pure district. His origins effect the way he treats his tribute, especially with their history together. His impulsiveness leads to many consequences (one of which including his own death) but he still succeeds to make an impact on not only Snow, but the rest of the capitol. Sejanus was a very impactful character and he was written powerfully but Suzanne Collins. Snow, however, was a disappointment. Don’t get me wrong—the writing was great. But the way he turns out shows how stories don’t always have happy endings. He had his first taste of love, soon realized he was not cut out for it, and turned to politics. It might be as simple as that, except for the fact that somewhere in the world a career-ending piece of evidence lays at the bottom of a lake, forgotten. That weapon was never found. But here is a question to think about:
