i woke up a little distressed this morning, i had this thought that one day all this stuff we’ve created could just end. and it could, for anyone. i dont plan on that happening, and if anything the precarity of life is keeping me in check.
so i had a look through some live photo’s (these ones are from a show i played in london recently) and i felt the immense privilege and blessings of being a touring artist. and im savouring every moment.
every promoter who takes a chance, my team and my label for the faith and hard work, all of you who buy/stream/listen to our music, my substack readers and podcast listeners - you’re all participating in making my life as great as it is.
thankyou for it all! i owe you some new music and i promise we’re working on it 🤍
🇮🇳 guys!! my first time in india!! for most of my life i thought i was ethnically burmese and british, but after some digging through my family tree and a dna test, turns out im very much indian (alongside a few others lol)! so to be going “home”, playing this incredible show on an incredible lineup like this, feels so surreal. a lucky moment in time. i’ll be bringing my daughter to show her this side of her identity. so please, anyone in india, tell us where to shop/eat/see in mumbai and hyderabad?? and huge thankyou to @ The Warehouse Project & @The Warehouse Project - India for the invite ily xxx 🇮🇳

what an incredibly inspiring trip to aus this has been. only 1 week left! i’m playing Now or Never with Big Ever and @youngmarco on saturday then back to berlin summer on tuesday. i’ll be taking some time to focus on writing new music in the coming months so ill be putting all that inspiration to good use… 🎶🎶🎶

i did a lil mix at @foundationfm when i was in london recently 💜 my daughter genie was watching me so obviously i danced like a daggy mum for her. she seemed impressed but she’s only 3. hoping she still thinks im cool when she’s 13 😩
or a while now i’ve been exploring a different type of listening in my off-hours. at home i find myself enjoying more down tempo, reflective sounds. the thing i like about it is how transporting this type of listening can be. i’ve wanted to play a set that feels immersive, thoughtful and reflective. and now, @draaimolen_ are giving me this opportunity 🤍 so, at this incredibly revered festival, i will be presenting this other side of myself, for the first time(!) it will fall within my world of therapy~ and im just so excited to do something i care so deeply about. if you had a chance to listen to my dj kicks which was released earlier this year, it gives an indication of this new sonic world im loving 🤝🏼
forgot to post pics of my holiday in mallorca 💕 went there straight after glastonbury and had an incredibly relaxing time. this was mine and @ bigever 's first proper holiday in 4 years??? was the break we didn’t know we needed. back in berlin now and waiting for my beautiful mama to arrive - she’s here for a month! but first up - tomorrow we’re releasing a vvvvv special remix and then onto lisbon on friday for @nos_alive .. annnnd thankyou to everyone who sent me natural remedies for this virus and for praying im better asap ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
